I Jacob Becker of the town and County of Schoharie and State of New York considering the uncertainty of this mortal life, and being of sound and perfect mind and memory, blessed be Almighty God for the same do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (to wit). First I give devise and bequeath unto my son Johan Peter Becker all that my farm, or lands, which I now occupy, situate lying and being at Foxes Creek in the town and County of Schoharie aforesaid and to his heirs and assigns forever together with all my farming utensils and other personal property, that may remain on my said farm at my decease. Provided my said son John Peter Becker shall and will pay the following legacies which shall become due one year after my decease (to wit) to my daughter Margaret Hurst the sum of thirty dollars and to Isaac William and Maria Settle each five dollars being my grand children by my daughter Elisabeth wife of John Settle. And further I give and bequeath unto my two daughters Elisabeth Settle and Margaret Hurst all my house hold furniture beds & beding that may remain at my decease. And lastly I hereby appoint my said son John Peter Becker sole executor of this my last will and Testament; hereby revoking all former Wills by me made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the seventeenth day of November in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and thirty four. Warner of the town of Schoharie in the County of Schoharie being first sworn in open Court, doth depose and say that he is a suscribing witness to the last will and testament of Jacob Becker late of Schoharie in the county of Schoharie, deceased. Deponent further saith that the said Jacob Becker the same testator did in the presence of this deponent, subscribe his name at the end of the instrument, which is now shown and exhibited to this deponent, and which purports to be the last will and testament of the said Jacob Becker and which bears date on the 17th day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty four. Deponent further saith that the said Jacob Becker the said testator did at the time of subscribing his name as aforesaid, at the end of the said will declare the said instrument so subscribed and now exhibited to be his last will and testament and deponent did thereupon subscribe his name to the said will as an attesting witness thereunto. Becker of the town of Canojoharie in the County of Montgomery, New York being first sworn in open Court, doth depose and say that he is a subscribing witness to the last will and testament of Jacob Becker late of Schoharie in the County of Schoharie deceased. Deponent further saith that the said Jacob Becker the said testator did in the presence of this deponent, subscribe his name at the end of the instrument which is now shown and exhibited to this deponent, and which purports to be the last will and testament of the said Jacob Becker and which bears date on the 17th day of November in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and thirty four.
