Bellows, Coroner [ Waterloo ] _____ To the Honorable Board of Supervisors of the County of Seneca: I respectfully report that for the year ending December 31st, 1892, that being the ending of my term of office, I was called upon to view the bodies of the following named persons: On the 13th day of December, 1892, the body of Albert Wood, a patient at Willard State Hospital, and upon investigation, I deemed that an inquest was unnecessary. On the 25th day of December, 1892, the body of Mary A. Brokaw, upon investigation I deemed an inquest unnecessary. I found on her body one hundred dollars and forty-seven cents, which amount I turned over to Benjamin Franklin, her administrator. John Denniston, Coroner Dated Ovid, N.Y. Nov, 14th, 1893 [ Ovid ] _____ To the Honorable Board of Supervisors of the County of Seneca: Since the date of my last report to you, I was called upon to attend upon the body of one, John B. Hilkert, who died on the fourth day of December, 1893, and after viewing the body of said John Hilkert and inquiring into the facts concerning his death, I deemed an inquest unnecessary. Thomas, Notary Public. _____ To the Honorable Board of Supervisors of the County of Seneca: I hereby respectfully report that during the year ending this day, since the period covered by my last report, I have held two inquests. On the bodies of Herman O. Wright at Lodi, N.Y., on the 29th day of February, 1893, in which case the Jury found the cause of death to be from a wound made by cuts upon his throat, severing the principal vessels and wind-pipe, which wound was caused by himself. The Jury were William B. Clawson, Eugene C. Baker, John D. Covert, James A. Huff, D. Van Lew Minor, Benjamin Swarthout, Winfield D. Farr, Michael McEvoy, Charles P. Seeley and John Freestone. Examining physician, James S. Carman, M.D. And a burglar (unknown), killed at Ovid, N.Y., on the 21st day of July, 1893, in which case the Jury found the cause of death to be from a bullet wound inflicted from a weapon in the hands of a person to them unknown, that he so came to his death while engaged in the commission of a felony in breaking into the Postoffice building in the Village of Ovid, N.Y. The jury were James D. Purdy, Will W. Payne, Francis M. Rappleye, Bernard McGregan, John W. Swarthout, Patrick Savage, Abram Wilson, John H. Steele, William J. Potter, Aaron H. Sheridan and Seymour Horton. Examining physician, Dr. A. Horton. I was also called upon to view the bodies of John McKelskey, Frank Rohn, George Krug and Domico Fendo, and made inquiry into the cause of death of each and in neither case deemed an inquest necessary.
