[Transcribed by Jean Chapman Snow from three Bibles in my possession. I call
the earliest Bible the Ezekiel Chapman Bible (the first of this Chapman family
to move to Cooperstown, Otsego, NY) although it does not contain Ezekiel's and
wife Jerusha's birth or death dates. The pages from the Old Testament title
page through Numbers chapter 16 have been torn out. The reverse of the New
Testament title page contains birthdates of Ezekiel's son Zenas and his wife
Anna Randol and the birthdates of their children, including Nancy, of Zenas'
second wife Penelope Westcott.]

I.
From the Ezekiel Chapman Bible (published by Mark and Charles Kerr, Edinburgh
1794):

Zenas Chapman was born April 23 day 1770
Anna Chapman was born on September 15 day 1772
Charles Chapman was born in May 26 day 1795
Jabez Chapman was born October 9 1796
Anna Chapman was born April 15 1799
Lucy Chapman was born April 2 D 1801
Katherine Chapman was born April the 29 1803*

Then in a completely different hand:
Nancy Chapman was born December 19 1812


II.
The second Bible, which I call the Zenas Chapman Bible, was published in
Hartford CT by Hudson & Goodwin, 1810. Opposite the title page are the
following entries:

Ezekiel Chapman was born in October the 26th 1741
He departed this life in August the 27th in the 80th year of his age in 1821
Jerusha Chapman was born in the Month of May 26th 1749
Jerusha Chapman she departed this Life June 17 d 1839 in Ninetieth year of her
age

On the reverse of the New Testament title page are the following entries:

Zenas Chapman was born Leb. [Lebanon, CT] April 23rd D 1770
Tracy Chapman was born Leb. April 17th D 1774
Charles Lee Chapman was born Springfield Mas. March 30th 1776
Nancy Chapman was born in Westfield Mas. October 29th 1780
Warham Chapman was born Westfield Mas. March 19th 1783
Abel Chapman was born Westfield M October 11th 1785
Ezekiel L. Chapman was born in Argile [Argyle, WA County NY] August 24th 1789

III.
The third Bible, which I call the Daniel W. Chapman Bible, was published in
Cooperstown, Otsego County 1838 by H. & E. Phinney. There are several pages
for Family Records.
