The death of Margaret E., wife of William E. Dodge, occured at the home 56 1/2 Walnut Street early Saturday morning after an illness of several weeks' duration. Although her illness has been lingering, her death was not expected by the member of the family and came as a shock to countless friends. She was born in Niles, coming to this city 30 years ago and has since that time made her home here where she has raised her family. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. C.E. Spafford of Genoa and Mrs. O.B. Darrow of this city, one brother, John Jayne of Niles; also three grandchildren, Doris, Ruth and Madeline Darrow, all of this city; and one grandson, Charles E. Spaford of Genoa. Funeral services will be held from the home, 56 1/2 Walnut Street, Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Burial will be in Fort Hill Cemetery. Jayne, 72, resident of the town of Niles, were conducted at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Charles Kahler, in the town of Owasco. Rev. P.T. Jones of Auburn officiated. Burial was in Owasco Rural Cemetery. Mrs. Jayne, who had been in ill health, died Tuesday at the daughter's home. She was born in Wisconsin but passed nearly her entire life in Niles. She is survived by three daughters and four sons, Mrs. Kahler and Mrs. Ella Hawley of Syracuse, Mrs. William Mack of Niles Walter of East Syracuse, Hector of Lafayette, Jotham of Dansville and Arthur of Niles, and by several grandchildren. Smith, wife of James Loyster, aged 71 years. Funeral services at her late home Monday, the 4th inst. at 1pm.
