The bible was found in Oswego Co., N.Y.. It covers people from Cayuga Co., Monroe Co., and Onondaga Co. Mr. Steven H. Barcomb. The Transcription: The Holy Bible Containing the Old and New Testaments Together with The Apocrypha Translated out of the original tongues, and with The former translations diligently compared and revised. With Canne's marginal notes and references. To which are added An Index; An alphabetical table of all the names of the old and new testaments, with their significations; tables of scripture weights, measures and coins, &c. Sarah Emaly Sarah Marston Marston Born Jayne died 29th Apr. 28th 1859 1931 age 72 years (no month) Willard C. Marston born May 15 1860 (Obituary Glued in.) Mrs. Charles Forbes Dead. Mrs. Ella Forbes, wife of Charles Forbes, died at the family home in Niles yesterday. She was 65 years old, and leaves besides her husband, a daughter, Mrs. John Cuddeback of 32 Hoffman St., Auburn a sister, (Cut off at this point) (A handwritten piece of paper appearing to have been cut from a land record of some sort.) "Regis\ / Deeds. Oshkosh Win. Co. Wis. Recorded Nov. 11th 1853=2 p.m.- Vol. (S? or8?) Pg. 392 E. A. Rawley Register." New Page. (An obituary glued onto the page.) "JAYNE- In Lafayette on the 2th int., John Jayne aged 70 years. Survived by his wife, Sarah Jayne, 4 sons, Walter, of N. Syracuse, Hector, of Lafayette, Jonathan of Danville and Arthur of Owasco; 3 daughters, Mrs. Ella Hawley of Syracuse, Mrs. Zoa Mack and Mrs. Elma Kahler, both of Owasco; also 14 grandchildren. Funeral services from the home of his son, Hector Jayne of Lafayette, Tuesday, Dec. 23 at 12 o'clock. Interment at Owasco. Arrangements by C. G. Hall." Two other obituaries are set between the pages of this Bible. They do not appear to be relatives but more likely friends of the Family. Their names were, Edward J. Darrow and Frank M. Reed. Darrow was a native of Niles, N.Y. and Reed was a native of Auburn, N.Y.. The Obituaries will remain in the Bible if they should become valuable to anyone in the future.
