He became suddenly insane last Tuesday and has been in custody ever since.Butler was a well known newspaper man. He had written for papers in London,New York and San Fransisco,and of recent years had been emplopyed mostly on the New York Telegraph.Butler's wife,Alice Johnson,the actress,and his mother,Rose Eytinge,the actress survive him. Miss Eytinge,who is in Portland,Or., learned today of her son's death.Mrs.Butler,his wife,was at his bedside when death came.Butler was a member of the Green Room Club,of this city.
