ZIMMERMAN AND KITTIE BOWLES DIE DURING PAST WEEK Mrs. Amelia M. Zimmerman, widow of Peter H. Zimmerman, for many years a well known resident of this village, died Monday forenoon following an illness of long duration at the age of 64 years. Mrs. Zimmerman was the daughter of Philip and Catherine Conrad and was born July 21st, 1864, in the town of Wayland, where her entire life had been spent. She was married to Peter H. Zimmerman on September 25th, 1883. Mr. Zimmerman, who for a long term of years was postmaster here, also holding many positions in the town and village, as well as being a prominent resident of the community, died on February 20th, 1924. Mrs. Zimmerman had gradually failed in health since his death. She is survived by nine sons and daughters, Victor B., Magdalene M., Beatrice H., Wilhelmina H., Marion E. and Bernetta J. of Wayland, Emanuel M. of Buffalo, Harold J. of Scranton, Pa., and Peter H. of Corning. She also leaves two brothers, F. J. Conrad of Dansville and Philip N. Conrad of this village; three sisters, Mrs. Catherine Hopper of Corning, Mrs. C. C. Smith of Dansville and Mrs. W. P. Stone of Stone's Falls. Mrs. Zimmerman had long been a member of St. Joseph's church and affiliated in the activities of that church and auxiliary societies, where her funeral took place this morning at 9:00 o'clock, with solemn high mass, Rev. Father Florack officiating, assisted by Rev. Father Frank of Naples as deacon and Rev. Father Foery of Rochester as sub-deacon. Burial was in St. Joseph's cemetery beside her husband.
