Pension Papers, Vol. 19. DIMOCK, JOSEPH, Widow Fanny MATHEWS, m. 1792 W. File No. 22942 NY Agency/Conn. Service/Private Application for pension, 1832. Age, 65. He was born March 16, 1767 in Wellington, Conn. Died December 24, 1845. Residence at date of application, Pierpont, Lawrence Co, NY [sic]. Residence at date of enlistment, Mansfield, Conn. He enlisted 1781 and served at New London and 1782 served at Horseneck one year under Col. Samuel Canfield and Capt. Abner Granger. Pension allowed for one years actual service as private, Connecticut line. In 1846 the widow, aged 74, applied for a pension and it was granted. After the war he moved to Woodstock, VT, then to Barnard, VT, and then to Pierpont where "he now resides". Children: Penfield, b. 1793 Dexter, b. 1794 Joseph, b. 1796 Lyman, b. 1798 Soldiers testifying--Jeremiah GIFFORD, aged 86; Absalom GIFFORD.
