Syracuse Heard-Journal January 14, 1956
Potsdam- Services forSamuel Fonda, 73, who died Thursday night in Charlesbois 
Nursing Home, were held this morning inSt. Mary's Church. Burial will be in 
St. Mary's Cemetery.
  A native of Italy, he came to this country in 1901 and settled near Potsdam. 
For many years he had operated a service station on the Winthrop Road. He 
married and was divorced years ago.
  Survivors include three sons, Pascal of Potsdam, Francis of Syracuse, 
Frederick of Ogdensburg, and a daughter, Mrs. Chester (Theresa)Dillon of 
Potsdam.
