Webb, deceased. "Know all men by these presents that I, Roswell B. Webb, now of Hubbardton, in the county of Rutland and state of Vermont, but late of Stockholm, in the county of St. Lawrence and state of New York, being in infirm health but of sound mind and memory, do make and publish this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by meat any time heretofore made. First: After the payment of my just debts and funeral expenses, it is my will that the sum of four hundred dollars vest? in the lands and be under the management and improvement of my executors hereinafter named and appointed to be placid and kept at interest on what they shall judge to be good security, and that such interest shall yearly be applied and paid over to my wife Orpha Webb, for her benefit, maintainence and support, so long as she shall remain my widow, and in case the annual interest of the said sum should be smaller in amount than the sum which my said wife may need for her maintainence and support, it is my will that she be allowed to draw from the principal of the said sum of four hundred dollars from time to time, at the discretion of my executors, so much of the said principal sum as may be necessary for her support. But it is my will that the foregoing provision for the benefit of my said wife shall not be obligatory upon my said executors only so long as she may remain my widow, and that the same shall be taken and accepted by said wife in lieu, and in full of her right of dower or third in my estate. Second: It is my will that the said sum of four hundred dollars be raised by my executors out of my estate, either by collecting debts which are or may be due to me or by the sale of my personal estate, or by the sale of my real estate in their discretion, hereby giving them full power to act for that purpose as in their judgement shall appear to be for the best interest and advantage of my estate. Third: It is my will that my wife Orpha Webb shall have the household furniture which she brought into my house at the time of our marriage, and that the remainder of my household furniture be divided equally as near as may be between my two daughters Prudence W. Webb and Cleora S. Webb. Fourth: It is my will that my estate be settled as soon after my decease as shall by my said executors be found convenient; and I do hereby give, devise and bequeath to my said executors hereinafter named all my real estate in the county of St. Lawrence aforesaid in trust to sell, dispose of and convey the same or such parts thereof as may by them be found expedient for the rises, ends and purposes in this my last will mentioned and for no other use or purpose whatsoever. and it is also my will that my said executors shall execute the contracts which I have made for the sale and conveyance of pany part of my said real estate by making such conveyances as are provided for in such contracts, according to the tenor of my obligations as specified in such contracts. Fifth: All the rest and residue of my estate, whether real, personal, or mixed, of which I shall die seized and _______ and all of the estate whether it be real, personal or mixed to which I shall be entitled at the time of my decease (except as herein before provided) I give devise and bequeath to be equally divided to and among my daughters Prudence W. Webb and Cleora S. Webb, and my two sons, William Tully Webb and John Wesley Webb. Sixthly: I do nominate and appoint my father Reuben Webb, of said Hubbardton and my brother in law Martin Strait of said Stockholm to be the executors of this my last will and testament; and I do also give to each of them all the power and upon in each of them all and every trust which I have given to them jointly; and it is my will that etiher of my executors shall be answerable for any of my estate received, or to be received by the other executor. Webb have hereunto set my hand and seal, and publish and declare this to be my last will and testament this fourteenth (14th) day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty six (A.D. 1846) in the presence of witnesses named below.
