Federman, Ronnie
FEDERMAN-Ronnie, of Forest Hills, NY., on Thursday, March 31, 2005, at home
after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Born on April 8, 1958, Ronnie
was the loving son of Adele and Dr. Bernard Federman. Ronnie was the brother
of Debra Murphy and Larry Federman, loving uncle to Emma, Aaron and Teal. In
addition to family, Ronnie will be greatly missed by his many devoted friends.
Although Ron fought and lost his battle with cancer, his memory will live on
in the music he so much loved. He brought the gift of music to all who knew
him. Throughout his illness "The Music Never Stopped!" Ronnie was an amazingly
intelligent, witty and caring person. He always found humor in situations,
even when it came to his illness. The family would like to invite friends and
family to a celebration of Ron's life and music on Sunday, April 3, 2005 at

Johnson, Robert Arthur
JOHNSON-Robert Arthur, 71 years, of Port St. Lucie, formerly of Stony Brook,
on March 20, 2005. Cherished husband of Dr. Sandar Jaffe-Johnson. Beloved son
of the late Axel and the late Lillian Johnson. Devoted father of Vivian,
Veronica, Kim, Robert A., John, Michael, and the late Cynthia and the late
Charles. Dear grandfather of Kristyn. Mr. Johnson served in the US Navy for 18
years and during the Vietnam War as a radarman 1st class. He participated in
three Antarctic expeditions. He was decorated with the Bronze Star, Armed
Forces Expeditionary Medal, Vietnam Campaign and Service Medals, Antarctic
Service Medal, and most recently, was honored with the NY State Medal for
Merit in the Armed Forces. Mr. Johnson received a BA in communications from
St. John's University, a Master's degree in social work from SUNY Stony Brook,
and a Post Masters certificate in clinical social work from Adelphi U. Before
retiring, Mr. Johnson was a licensed clinical social worker, specializing in
compulsive and addictive disorders, with Snug Harbor Counseling Assoc., Stony
Brook, a business manager for "Eyewitness News" and "Good Morning America" at
ABC and an employee assistance couselor with the FAA. Mr. Johnson was also a
member of the Disabled American Veterans and Vietnam Veterans of America, the
Fleet Reserve Association, the US Naval Institute and St. George's Episcopal
Church. Mr. Johnson was truly a "Renaissance Man", enjoying sailing, motor
scootering, "Adventure", gardening, RV traveling and dogs. Friends may call at
