Before retiring, Mr. Johnson was a licensed clinical social worker, specializing in compulsive and addictive disorders, with Snug Harbor Counseling Assoc., Stony Brook, a business manager for "Eyewitness News" and "Good Morning America" at ABC and an employee assistance couselor with the FAA. Mr. Johnson was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans and Vietnam Veterans of America, the Fleet Reserve Association, the US Naval Institute and St. George's Episcopal Church. Mr. Johnson was truly a "Renaissance Man", enjoying sailing, motor scootering, "Adventure", gardening, RV traveling and dogs.
