Carolanne lived on Long Island most of her life. She loved her family, the beaches, boating, fishing and was a devoted Christian, moving to Florida only to be closer to her family. Published in Newsday on 4/8/2005. Mateiko, Theo MATEIKO-Theo, was born in Jamaica, Queens, on November 11, 1949. She moved to Roosevelt in 1957 and graduated Roosevelt High School in 1967. Theo then went on to Mandle School of Nursing in which she graduated in 1969 with a certificate as a Medical Assistant and while there, she had her picture featured on the Mandle School brochure. She worked many years as a Medical Assistant, most recently for Dr. David Speilsinger.In 2005, she was named to The Empire Who's Who of Executives and Professionals. Theo was always known for giving a helping hand to everyone. Those who knew her would say she had a tremendous heart and loved helping everyone. Unfortunately her heart failed as Theo Mateiko passed away on April 5, 2005. She is survived by her husband Jimmy and her children James, Elizabeth and Stefany. She was the daughter of Robert and Theo Reardon as well as the sister of Robert Michael, Gregory, Adrienne (McLoughlin), and Dorothy.
