GILLEN-Marguerite L. formerly of Westbury, NY, age 87, on April 8, 2005. Wife
of the late Thomas Gillen, she and her family provided foster care through
Catholic Charities and Nassau County to many Long Island children in the 1950s
through the 1970s. An active parishioner at St. Brigid's Church for 50 years,
she is survived by her two sisters, Cecilia and Molly, their families, her six
children, Thomas, George, Rita, Ellen Fortner, Diane Gillen-Philp, and Scott,
their spouses, ten grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren. She was loved by
her family and friends and will be much missed. Reposing Thursday April 14,

Glicksman, Lettie
GLICKSMAN-Lettie, nee Berger, born November 23, 1919, died on March 26, 2005.
Daughter of Jack and Celia Berger; sister of Ruth Haber and Annette Gerson.
Lettie is survived by daughters Dede Kessler and Jane Glicksman,
granddaughters Carla Kessler and Hallie Schmidt, and son-in-law Stephen
Kessler. Lettie's parents were active in the early union and socialist
movements and in Workmen's Circle, imbuing her with a lifelong dedication to
feminism and to social, economic and racial justice. Lettie was married for 60
years to her great love, the late Jack Glicksman. She worked her entire life,
retiring from a successful career in insurance at 77. She loved literature,
art and antiques, acquiring vast knowledge of European porcelain and silver.
She read widely, loved deeply, and enjoyed making others happy more than
anything else. Her erudition was matched by her modesty. Her life was filled
with kindness, courage, love and work. Most tender and loving mother,
mother-in-law and grandmother. We will love and honor her always.

Tetreault, Arthur R.
TETREAULT-Arthur R., 82, on April 12, 2005. Beloved husband of Marianne,
passed with the love of his family around him. Arthur will be remembered for
his love of family and friends. A WWII veteran, Arthur was Past Commander of
VFW Post 9263. He retired from Redkin Laboratories in 1987, where he was an
award winning district manager. His life-long faith in the Lord gave him the
strength to battle his cancer. He will be missed by all those who knew him.
Especially his family - children Elizabeth, Michele, Suzanne, Karen and Kenny.
