Coughlin, Helen
COUGHLIN-Helen, born Roslyn, Long Island, long time resident fo the Village of
Hempstead and employee of Molloy College died April 12, 2005, at her Seminole,
Florida home. She was 81 years of age. Helen was predeceased by her husband
Lt. Peter Coughlin of the Hempstead Police Department and her son Peter
Coughlin Jr. of ABM AMRO. Helen is survived by her daughter Patricia and her
son James both living in Florida, by five grandchildren and one great great
grandchild. Prior to retiring Helen was the Executive Secretary to the
President of Molloy College. Interment will be at St. John's Catholic Cemetery
Middle Village. She will be severely missed for all those that knew her, loved
her and enjoyed her cooking and company. Family will receive friends at Howard
E. Williams Funeral Home, 181 Greenwich St., Hempstead, NY, on Monday, April

Maimone, Renata
MAIMONE-Renata, on April 13, 2005, at age 87, of Bayville passed away in the
company of her loving family. Renata was one of those rare people for whom the
word "wisdom" truly applies. Renata was wise in the only way one can be wise;
she was wise about how to live, and why we live. It was her ability to share
that wisdom with family and friends that made her truly unique. She was
universally loved by all whose lives, however briefly, were touched by her.
Renata leaves many grieving friends from every part of her long and rich life.
Born in Germany in 1917, she grew up in a home that was deeply connected to
the vibrant cultural life of Berlin. Fleeing Germany with her parents in 1939,
she arrived in the United States as a refugee, and began her career as a
soprano in Boston, while making her way in her adopted country. Renata was at
the heart of Long Island's classical musical life, both as performer and as an
inspiration to concert series such as Ridotto in Huntington. Renata leaves
behind her sons Jeffrey and Mark, their wives Hung and Margaretha, and her
grandchildren Lynne, Andrea, and Max. The funeral is private, with
arrangements entrusted to the Oyster Bay Funeral home. A memorial celebration
with family and friends will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers,
Renata requested that donations be sent to the Ridotto Arts Organization, 4
Rolling Hills Drive, Huntington, NY 11743.

Ithaca, NY following a brief illness. Born June 8, 1911 in New York, NY, a
daughter of the late Louis and Anna (Hrbek) Feyk, she lived most of her life
on Long Island, moving to Cherry Valley, NY in 1974 and then to Trumansburg in
1987. She loved to paint, crochet and quilt and enjoyed attending the Senior
Citizens' quilting group in Ithaca on Wednesdays, and playing cards with her
friends at Juniper Manor. Lu is survived by her son, Cal (Joan) Organ of
Trumansburg; grandchildren, Jim (Megan), Michael (Tonya Lutes), Brian,
Suzanne, Robbie (Carol) and Tommy (Kim) Organ, Chris (Trina) and Billy
(Barbara) Klinkhardt and Carolyn Benson; great-grandchildren, Jennifer,
Jessie, Joe, Crystal, Tyler, Kira, Adam and Sara; her brother, John (Mary)
Feyk; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents,
her husband, Walter in 1997, and by her children, Ellen Organ Klinkhardt and
Robert Organ. The family will be present to receive their friends at the
Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South St., Trumansburg, on Saturday, April 16,
2005 from 1-2PM. Services at the funeral home will begin at 2PM on Saturday,
