Lillian was born in New York City on August 12, 1898. Throughout her 106 years, Lillian demonstrated the importance of keeping love in your heart and understanding the true meaning of forgiveness. Her deep spirituality guided her each day of her life and she looked to death as an extension of life - not an end, but a beginning. Her family has been blessed with the wisdom she imparted and many cherished memories of time spent with her. She was universally loved by all whose lives, however briefly, were touched by her. Lillian lived on the upper east side of Manhattan until six years ago. She was employed as a buyer for Bergdorf and Wasserman's. After her retirement, she volunteered at NY Hospital, The Foundling and St. Jean's Church and was recognized for 50 years of outstanding dedication. Her love of baseball and the LI Ducks gave her many hours of enjoyment. She watched the Yankees when names like Ruth and Gehrig were up on the scoreboard. She was honored by the LI Ducks each year by throwing out the first pitch. A Memorial Liturgy will be held Thursday, April 21 at 9:30am at the Catholic Church of the Resurrection, Smithtown.
