Loving step-father of Scott Braunstein and Rachel Kaufman. The Honorable Judge Lederberg was born in Brooklyn, where he lived until he was four years old. He moved with his family to Lindenhurst until 1992, when he moved with Marcia to Fort Salonga. Joshua graduated from Penn State University. At the end of his sophomore year, he enlisted in the army and was sent to Korea where he spent the next two years. On his return stateside, he finished his education at Pen State and went on to Rutgers Law School. After graduation from Rutgers, he eventually moved back to Long Island to practice law. During this time, he was appointed to fill a vacancy for Village Judge of Lindenhurst. For the next sixteen years, he was an elected official and served the Village as their elected Judge. His passion was tennis, basketball, football, and spending time with his grandchildren Evan, Alexa, Sam, Koby and Hallie. He will be missed. Services will be held at the Dix Hills Chapel of I.J.
