grandchildren, Gregory and his wife, Caroline, Daniel and Tracey: a
great-grandson, Sam: and a niece, Ellen Worpham. Her funeral Mass will be

Nardo, Sebastian V.
NARDO-Sebastian V. on January 26, 2005. Born December 25, 1917, Dr. Sebastian
V. Nardo was a professor of Aerospace Engineering, assistant Department Head
and Dean of Graduate Studies (Long Island) at the former Polytechnic Institute
of Brooklyn (now Polytechnic Institute of New York). Professor Nardo leaves
behind his devoted wife, Carmella Joan; four children, Margaret, Charles,
William and David; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Professor
Nardo started his studies at Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn as an
undergraduate in 1936 and except for four years at Chance Vought Aircraft
during World War II, served the Institute for almost 50 years. "Sibby" as he
was known to all, will be remembered by his family, friends, colleagues and
literally thousands of his students with whom he shared his patience, wisdom
moral values and life. Professor Nardo will be interred this Spring. The
family request any donations be sent to the Chase Memorial Nursing Home, One

FRANCINE L. (FARKAS) WHITTING
Loving daughter of Eleanor Farkas and the late Francis S. Farkas of Glen Head,
L.I. on January 27, 2005. She was a member of the LIPHA, past member of the
Meadow Brook Hounds. Francine was the light of her parent's lives, always
a loving and special daughter.
