Kalkbrenner, Elvera
KALKBRENNER-Elvera, a 34-year resident of Katonah, N.Y., and Hollywood, Fla.,
in Hollywood, on February 13, 2005, at age 79. She was born in Jamaica, N.Y.,
to Frank and Anna Lindstrom. In 1930, the family moved to Patterson, N.Y.,
where she grew up and attended school. She built, owned and operated the
Holladay House Restaurant on Route 22 in Pawling, N.Y., from 1960-1982. She
loved people and was known for her gardening, playing piano and cooking. She
is survived by her husband, William; a son, Edward Holladay of Cooper City,
Fla.; daughters, Donna Robinson of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., Diane Turner of
Lynbrook, Long Island, and Christine Das of Floral Park, N.Y. Also survived by
nine grandchildren. Calling hours will be at Clark Associates Funeral Home,
Katonah, N.Y., on Friday, February 25, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The Funeral
Service will be at graveside on Saturday, February 26, 2005, 11:30 AM, at Mt.
Calvary Cemetery, White Plains, N.Y.
