He resided in New Hyde Park, NY with his first wife, Pauline, for over 35 years and in Garden City Park, NY and Oviedo, FL for 25 years with his second wife, the former Jean Melvin. Mr. Meyer worked for most of his career at Sperry Gyroscope in Lake Success, NY. He was one of the founders of the Merillon Little League and was active in it for many years as a coach and an officer. He retired to Oviedo, FL in 1992. Mr. Meyer is survived by his wife, Jean; by his seven children, John, Fred, Bette, Paul, Nancy, Gail and Robert; by his three step-children, Paul Melvin, Patrick Melvin and Eileen Salvagione; and by 19 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
