say no to a good card game. He is loved and will be sorely missed by his

Reilly, William F.
REILLY-William F., on May 29, 2005, of Miller Place, L.I., and Vero Beach,
Fla. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Marie (nee Sipala); his
four daughters, Naomi Foreman, Carol Reilly, Cynthia Schaffler, and Christine
Reilly; his sons-in-law, Robert Shively, Mitchell Schaffler and Peter P.
Maglione; his 8 grandchildren, Taylor, Brendan, Adrienne, Ben, Jedediah,
Tarah, Catherine Rose, and Caroline. He was predeceased by his daughter,
Roberta Lynn Reilly. Born April 3, 1927 in Brooklyn, N.Y., Bill spent his
youth as a member of St. Theresa's Parish School. A WW II veteran, Bill served
in the Navy aboard the USS Columbus. He received his BS from John Jay College
of Criminal Justice. His 26 years of service in the NYPD started as a
patrolman. He became a detective and served as a special investigator under
Manhattan DA Frank Hogan. Promoted to Sergeant, Bill was assigned to the 26th
Precinct until he retired from the Police Department. Subsequently, he served
as a Fraud Investigator for Chase Manhattan Bank, Director of Security for
Columbia University Medical School and Director of Security for Atlantic Bank.
Bill traveled extensively with friends and family, visiting Ireland, Italy,
Greece and most of the 50 States. He was proud to have visited Normandy to pay
tribute to his many comrades and brother Charlie who fought there. Bill died
peacefully at home where he was being cared for by his family during an
extended battle with Alzheimer's disease. His family feels blessed that he was
able to continue to enjoy his love of singing, family and the company of his
many friends, especially his lifelong friend, William Burke. His family wishes
to extend special thanks to Gerrard Sokara who shared his gifts of love and
compassion and humor with Bill while caring for him. Reposing at O.B. Davis

Second Anniversary in Heaven. Baby Face, when we cried, we would wipe away
each other's tears. When we screamed, we chased away each other's fears. We
held each other's hand through all of those years. Now the story has played
out like a paper back novel. I wish we could rewrite an ending with our dreams
instead of a Hollywood horror. I walk alone on this boulevard of broken
dreams. I wish you were here. I know it won't rain all the time. The sky won't
fall forever. The greatest gift you ever gave me was your smile. I can see it
clearly with eyes wide shut. Baby Face, you are and always will be the
potential in me. Love is real not fade away.

YOUNG-Bryan of East Islip on May 31, 2005. Bryan was born in Plattsburgh, NY
on August 7, 1959. Loving son of Wayne and Ramona Young. Dear brother of
Shelley Lindsay of Temple, NH, Jeff Young of Islip Terrace, NY and Heather
Sweeney of Amherst, NH. Beloved soul mate of Sue Greenli. Bryan lived on Long
Island most of his life and was loved by many friends and relatives. Bryan
lived life to the fullest and enjoyed boating, motorcycling and helping people
in need. Reposing at the Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons West Islip Funeral Home,
1225 Montauk Hwy. (¬ mile west of the Robert Moses Causeway). Funeral service
to be held Friday, 12:30 PM at the funeral home. Cremation to follow. Bryan's
cremated remains will be put to rest in Willsboro, NY at a later date in June.
Visiting Thursday 2-4:30 and 7-9:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family would
appreciate donations to be made in memory of Bryan to Habitat For Humanity.
