Mr. Boyle was born in Brooklyn the son of the late James and Mary (Thompson) Boyle, and he has been a resident of East Northport, Long Island until moving to Oswego in August of 2004. Mr. Boyle was employed as an Installation Supervisor for Western Electric, in NYC. He was a communicant of St. Joseph Church, Oswego and the Knights of Columbus Council # 4810, Long Island. Mr. Boyle served with the 27th Division of the United States Army as a Staff Sergeant from 1940 until 1945. He was the recipient of the Bronze Star, and the Purple Heart. Mr. Boyle was a member of the Long Island Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mr. Boyle is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years Marie Boyle of Oswego, his children Michael (Susan) Boyle of Long Island, Jeannie Sweeney of Baldwinsville, Kate (Pete) Colucci of Oswego, his brother Thomas Boyle of PA, his sisters Catherine Baumer of Brooklyn, Rose Domo of VA, Joan Bessey, and Annmarie Eick both of NJ, and his loving grandchildren Kerry, RJ, Erin, and Christopher Sweeney, Jim Boyle, and Carson Colucci, and several nieces and nephews.
