Smith, Mary Loorine (Tucker)
SMITH-Mary Loorine (Tucker), born December 19, 1923 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
She worked with Spartan Aircraft Company in Tulsa where she met her future
husband, Ronald C. Smith of Huntington Station, New York. They were married
November 1943, a marriage that lasted almost 60 years, until "Smitty's" death
in March 2003. She retired from Huntington Station School System where she
served in several different cafeterias during her 20 year career. She was a
long time member of Bethany Presbyterian Church, Huntington Station. Preceded
by her husband, and infant daughter, her parents and two brothers. Survivors
are son Ron and his wife Barbara and grandson Charles; daughter Lynda Loorine
and grandson Tucker Sabath, and sister Audrey Tucker of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Private family graveside services will be held 10AM at Huntington Rural
Cemetery, Saturday, June 11, 2005, Dr. James Black officiating.
