after a long battle with cancer. She was 80. Born on August 3, 1924, in
Mineola, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Alexander Kaiser and Helen
Iffinger Kaiser. Mrs. Kessinger worked her entire life as an interior designer
throughout Long Island, most recently for Leonard's Interiors. She loved and
took pride in her work in this field. Ruth loved spending time and helping her
family, she was a wonderful mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and
friend. She had the gift of "giving" and her loved ones will dearly miss her.
She is survived by 1 son; Kenneth and Marie Kessinger of New York; 2
daughters, Susan Tennant and her husband Frederick of Corinth, and Karen
Szymaszek and her husband John of Melrose, N.Y.; 5 grandchildren, Julie and
Matthew Russell, Daniel and Nicole Kessinger, Desiree Kessinger, Justin
Kessinger, and Chantal Trinh; 3 great-grandchildren, Nicholas Kessinger, and
