Calvelli, Eugene V.
CALVELLI-Eugene V., M.D., 81, a lifelong resident of Pt. Washington, NY, until
he retired to Orlando, FL, in 1987, passed away, Monday, June 20, 2005, in
Orlando. He served in both the U.S. Navy during WWII, and the U.S. Army in
Korea. He was volunteer chairman for many years of the Nassau/Suffolk County
Emergency Medical Services Committee, organizing ambulance services,
introducing cardiac monitoring of patients and training its AMT's and EMT's.
Survivors include six children with his first wife Harriet Heffernan Calvelli,
who predeceased him in 1981: Helen, Patricia, Gina, John, Mary Ross and Cara;
his second wife Jacqueline Burke Calvelli and her two children; Janet Burke
and Eileen Mirchel; sister Mary Prendergast, brother Richard Calvelli, 12
grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. A memorial
service will be held at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior, Port Washington, on
Saturday, July 9, at 11AM.

(Kimberly) Sheerin, all of FL and Ed (Terry) Sheerin of Cleveland. Paul was a
long time member of the United Church of God and he served in the U.S. Air
Force raising to the rank of Capt. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am,
Friday, at Shiloh Church, 5300 Philadelphia DR. at N. Main St. Pastor Frank
McCrady will officiate. Interment will follow at the Dayton National Cemetery.
