Aniello, Ignazio Died (Nat) ANIELLO-Ignazio (Nat) died on March 6, 2005 after a month long battle with various illnesses. He was 87 years old. Born in New York City, raised in Brooklyn, where he met and married his wife, Frances, of 62 years. They settled in Lindenhurst in 1954, where they raised their three children, Vito, Frances and Joseph. He was the owner of Nat Carting of Manhattan, N.Y. for over 50 years which is still run today by his family. He was a World War II veteran and proud recipient of both the Bronze Star for bravery and the Purple Heart. He was a devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather, and is survived by his wife, three children, nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren and one brother, Joseph. Cusa, Peter A. CUSA-Peter A. longtime resident of Holtsville, on Saturday morning after a long battle with lung cancer. He was born in Brooklyn on April 14, 1946. Peter and his family began living in Holtsville during summers in a bungalow, his father built. At that time, Holtsville was truly the country with water pumps on the corners and outhouses in the backyards. Peter served in the United States Navy and was stationed in Vietnam during the war. He also served a tour in Morocco. Peter held an Associate Degree from Suffolk Community College and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Stony Brook University. He studied at the National Academy of Design in Manhattan under artist Leon Kroll. He also studied under artist Malcolm Morley. Peter held various positions with the Federal Government until his retirement. He was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Peter was an artist in the Abstract Expressionist school. He was an avid reader and a military historian. Peter loved to travel. He and his wife would frequently take spontaneous weekend getaway trips or longer vacations to sunny Florida. He delighted in time spent with his ten nieces and nephews. His nephew James Rudolph is in the U.S. Army serving in Iraq. Niece Crystal is serving in the U.S. Navy aboard the airforce carrier USS Ronald Reagan. Peter is survived by his devoted and beloved wife of twenty-one years Antoinette Rudolph-Cusa, his cousin and sister-by-heart Patricia Zarcone of Holtsville and his lifetime friend and brother-by-heart Jack McMahon of Bloomfield, NJ. Madden, Robert Arthur MADDEN-Robert Arthur, 81, formerly of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, and most recently residing at Arbor Acres Retirement Community in Winston-Salem, NC passed on to his eternal reward March 4, 2005. Robert lived each day with courage, perseverance and determination. He was a man with great faith and devotion to God and his family. He will be remembered for his integrity, humility, generosity and quick wit. Robert was born December 15, 1923 in Queens Village, NY to John H. Madden and Margaret Gaffney. Robert graduated from St. John's Prep, St. John's University and St. John's Law School, Brooklyn, NY. Robert was president of his fraternity, Zeta Sigma Pi, and the Skull and Circle (Honor) Society. He was captain of the debate team at St. John's. He practiced law in NY and later on joined Dan River Mills in Danville, VA. He went on to work for Celanese Canada in Montreal. Robert's military career during WW2 included being stationed in Europe, Africa and the Middle East serving as a crypto analyst in the intelligence division. His hobbies included writing, traveling, golf, gardening and curling. Robert was married to Muriel McGahie Madden for 53 years and together they had eight children. He will be lovingly remembered by John of Rosemere, Quebec; Carol and her husband Richard Chartrand of Winston-Salem, NC; Patricia and her husband E.
