include his son, Keith Adams, Fort Lauderdale, FL and daughter, Joyce Adams,
Venice, FL and his lifelong companion, Doris B. De Lackner Serina of Corning,
NY. Mr. Adams retired from the US Postal Service, and served in the US Army
during WWII. Services will be held at Calverton National Cemetery on March 11
at 2pm.

Aniello, Ignazio Died (Nat)
ANIELLO-Ignazio (Nat) died on March 6, 2005 after a month long battle with
various illnesses. He was 87 years old. Born in New York City, raised in
Brooklyn, where he met and married his wife, Frances, of 62 years. They
settled in Lindenhurst in 1954, where they raised their three children, Vito,
Frances and Joseph. He was the owner of Nat Carting of Manhattan, N.Y. for
over 50 years which is still run today by his family. He was a World War II
veteran and proud recipient of both the Bronze Star for bravery and the Purple
Heart. He was a devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather, and is
survived by his wife, three children, nine grandchildren, three great
grandchildren and one brother, Joseph. Visitation, Tuesday and Wednesday 2-4
and 7-10pm at the Lindenhurst Funeral Home, Inc., 424 S. Wellwood Ave.,
Lindenhurst. Mass of Christian Burial, Thursday, 11am, at Our Lady of
Perpetual Help RC Church, Lindenhurst. Entombment, Pinelawn Memorial Park,

Armstrong, Lorraine Veronica
ARMSTRONG-Lorraine Veronica, 55, of Craig County, VA, on March 3, 2005. She
was born in Brooklyn, NY, on July 18, 1949 to the late Joseph and Muriel
Armstrong. Lorraine is survived by her husband, James Komnick, two sisters,
Patricia Komnick and Dorothy Upegui, two brothers, Daniel Armstrong and
Raymond Armstrong, and 31 nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held
at a later date.

Cusa, Peter A.
CUSA-Peter A. longtime resident of Holtsville, on Saturday morning after a
long battle with lung cancer. He was born in Brooklyn on April 14, 1946. Peter
and his family began living in Holtsville during summers in a bungalow, his
father built. At that time, Holtsville was truly the country with water pumps
on the corners and outhouses in the backyards. Peter served in the United
States Navy and was stationed in Vietnam during the war. He also served a tour
in Morocco. Peter held an Associate Degree from Suffolk Community College and
a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Stony Brook University. He studied at the
National Academy of Design in Manhattan under artist Leon Kroll. He also
studied under artist Malcolm Morley. Peter held various positions with the
Federal Government until his retirement. He was a member of the American
Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Peter was an artist in the Abstract
Expressionist school. He was an avid reader and a military historian. Peter
loved to travel. He and his wife would frequently take spontaneous weekend
getaway trips or longer vacations to sunny Florida. He delighted in time spent
with his ten nieces and nephews. His nephew James Rudolph is in the U.S. Army
serving in Iraq. Niece Crystal is serving in the U.S. Navy aboard the airforce
carrier USS Ronald Reagan. Peter is survived by his devoted and beloved wife
of twenty-one years Antoinette Rudolph-Cusa, his cousin and sister-by-heart
Patricia Zarcone of Holtsville and his lifetime friend and brother-by-heart
Jack McMahon of Bloomfield, NJ. He is remembered fondly and dearly by his
mother-in-law Athna Rudolph of Leesburg, FL., brother-in-law Richard Rudolph
of Vine Grove, KY., sisters-in-law Renee Rudolph of Middletown, NY and Joyce
Ann McColley of Fruitland Park, FL., his nephews James, Christian,
Christopher, Parker and Devin, and nieces Crystal, Diane, Tonya, Christin and
Tiffani. Peter also has two sons by a prior marriage, Christian Jonathan and
Jeffrey Stephen. Visiting Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9PM at Joseph P. Spadaro Funeral

DIXON-Vera, 90 year resident of Freeport on March 4, 2005 in her 94th year.
Loving mother of Fred and the late Beryl and Lyle with her first husband Luman

telephone company supervisor for 30 years. Worked 20 years for the Freeport
Memorial Library. Married to the late Freeport Police Chief Ed Dixon. Vero was
one of a kind, strong, healthy and independent in later life up to her 92nd

DOUGAN-Kenneth F. "Doogamoog" 57, of Holiday, FL, passed away Friday, March 4,
2005 at his residence. Born in Queens, NY, he retired after 30 years of
service with British Airways. He was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. He is
survived by his loving daughter, Kelly Dougan of Baldwin, NY, his fiancee,
Mary Ann Pomposello of Queens, and a brother, Douglas Dougan. A memorial

Madden, Robert Arthur
MADDEN-Robert Arthur, 81, formerly of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, and most
recently residing at Arbor Acres Retirement Community in Winston-Salem, NC
passed on to his eternal reward March 4, 2005. Robert lived each day with
courage, perseverance and determination. He was a man with great faith and
devotion to God and his family. He will be remembered for his integrity,
humility, generosity and quick wit. Robert was born December 15, 1923 in
Queens Village, NY to John H. Madden and Margaret Gaffney. Robert graduated
from St. John's Prep, St. John's University and St. John's Law School,
Brooklyn, NY. Robert was president of his fraternity, Zeta Sigma Pi, and the
Skull and Circle (Honor) Society. He was captain of the debate team at St.
John's. He practiced law in NY and later on joined Dan River Mills in
Danville, VA. He went on to work for Celanese Canada in Montreal. Robert's
military career during WW2 included being stationed in Europe, Africa and the
Middle East serving as a crypto analyst in the intelligence division. His
hobbies included writing, traveling, golf, gardening and curling. Robert was
married to Muriel McGahie Madden for 53 years and together they had eight
children. He will be lovingly remembered by John of Rosemere, Quebec; Carol
and her husband Richard Chartrand of Winston-Salem, NC; Patricia and her
husband E. Michael Amos of Leawood, KS., Nancy Madden of Oakville, Ontario;
Susan and her husband Brendan Hennigan of Ottawa, Ontario; James Madden of
Blainville, Quebec; Thomas and his wife Jacqueline of Ottawa, Ontario;
Catherine and her husband, Doug Drabble, of Edmonton, Alberta. Also sustaining
loving memories are eight grandchildren, Erin, Kerry, Jillian, Jamie,
Jennifer, Amanda, Ryan and Lisha. Visitation will be at R. Stutzmann & Son

youth. He served in the United States Army and married Dorothy, the love of
his life. He retired from the Nassau County Corrections Department
(Lieutenant) and was also a lifetime member of the Oceanside Fire Department;
Salamander Hook and Ladder Company. Harry, a truly memorable man to all, loved
to sing with Dorothy and friends. He was known to his friends and family for
his generosity and compassion for others. Harry was a "Mountain of a Man." To
celebrate Harry's life, the family will have a joyous memorial to honor him at
The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepard in Seminole, FL, on April 4, 2005 at
