Mr. Block was a trained vocalist who sang professionally for four decades in churches and choruses in the N.Y.C. area. He was a dedicated lay leader in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod and was ordained a Lay Minister after his retirement in 1985. Mrs. Litchford was born in Butte, MT, raised in Portland, OR, and lived most of her adult life in Cold Spring Harbor and Northport, NY. She was a daughter of James Leslie Cahill and Pearl May Ellis. A graduate of Reed College in Portland, OR, she also obtained a Masters in Education from SUNY-New Paltz. She was a kindergarten teacher for several years in the Cold Spring Harbor School District on Long Island, worked in her husband's engineering consulting business, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Litchford had many artistic and literary interests, was an unpublished poet, and an animal lover. She was dearly loved and will be missed by many friends and family. Mrs. Litchford is survived by her husband George B. Litchford, Sr. who lives at the Terrace at Glenn Eddy in Niskayuna; her son George B.
