The daughter of the late John A. and Eleanor (Bradley) Murray, Jr., Eileen was born April 9, 1943 in Flushing, NY, where she lived for 25 years. Eileen graduated from St. Andrew Avellino Grammar School in 1957, St. Agnes Academic High School in 1961 and Mount Aloysius Junior College in Cresson, PA in 1963. She enjoyed spending her summers at her family's summer home in Hampton Bays,NY, and in 1964 won the title of Miss Hampton Bays. Eileen was an elementary school teacher in Long Island before moving to Rye, NH in 1970, where she resided until 1995. In Rye, Eileen was actively involved in her community and was awarded "Citizen of the Year" in 1983. She was recognized by the Great Bay Chapter of the American Red Cross in 2003 for her volunteerism. Dedicated to education, Eileen was a Language Arts and Religion Teacher at St. Patrick School in Portsmouth, NH. She also introduced and directed the Rye SAT Prep course in 1980, which continues today. Eileen is survived by her devoted husband of 10 years, George Bartlett; her three children, her daughter Erin (Murphy) Flannigan and husband Kevin of Elliot, ME, her son Brian Murphy and wife Lindsay of Portsmouth, NH, her daughter Shaine Murphy of Brookline, MA and her two grandchildren, Connor Michael and Kiernan Eileen Flannigan of Elliot, ME. She is also survived by her two sisters, Linda Cary of Portsmouth, NH and Gail Hart and husband Robert of Madison, CT, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her grand-nephew, Jack Hart.
