Mr. Harding was the former owner, President, and Chief Executive Officer of New York Legal Exchange, a financial consulting firm serving the pension fund and foundation markets. The firm was based in Manhattan and Huntington. Previously, he worked at the Chicago and New York Headquarters of Sears Roebuck & Co. for 20 years as a senior buyer with responsibility for several product lines. Mr. Harding was active in the Old First Presbyterian Church of Huntington where he was a Deacon. During World War II, he served in the US Army as a Lieutenant in Military Intelligence. He conducted operations in the Pacific Theatre and the United States and received a Bronze Star for heroic and meritorious service in Okinawa. He received a BA from Boston University, was a valedictorian of his class and received the prestigious Phi Pi Chi award for high scholastic achievement. He received his MBA from the University of Chicago's Executive Program. Born in Wollaston, MA, on August 19, 1917, he was the son of the late James A. Harding and Mary Duncan Harding. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Audrey Kneisley Harding; his daughter, Anne M. Harding of Huntington; and his son, Craig K.
