Bihary, Anne S.
BIHARY-Anne S., longtime teacher in the Farmingdale School District, died at
her home in Farmingdale on April 29, 2005 at the age of 91. She joined the
District in 1938 and taught kindergarten and first grade in the Main Street,
Woodward Parkway, and other Farmingdale Schools for a total of 38 years. Known
for her dedication to teaching young children and ability to provide them with
a sound start to their education, she was instrumental in implementing
significant improvements to the elementary school facilities and programs
early in her career. She was a member of the Farmingdale-Bethpage Historical
Society and the American Assn. of University Women (AAUW). She is survived by
her daughter JoAnne, sons Bruce and Greg, and four grandchildren, Diana,
Kristin, Michael, and Joseph. Visitation, Monday and Tuesday, 2-5 and 7-9:30
PM, at the Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc., 315 Conklin St., Farmingdale.
Funeral Service, Wednesday, 10 AM, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church. Interment,
Long Island National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to

Herma, Janice
HERMA-Janice, 63, of Lighthouse Point Florida, formerly of Hempstead, New
York, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2005. Janice's life was full of friends
and family. She was a graduate of C.W. Post College on Long Island. For 10
years she was a Media Specialist in schools throughout Europe for the U.S. Air
Force. Janice finished her career in 2000 as a Media Specialist after 21 years
in Forest Hills Elementary School in Coral Springs, Florida. For many years
Janice supported Kids in Distress in Fort Lauderdale. Janice is survived by
her brother John (Susan); niece Kyle; nephew Drew, all of Elm Grove, Wisconsin
and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She is also survived by her dear friends, Terry
and Bernice Funk of Boca Raton, Florida; and other wonderful friends, cousins
and godchildren. A celebration of Janice's life will be held at 12:30PM on
Saturday, May 14 at the Congregational Church of Boca Raton. Babione Funeral

Stegmann, Robert William
STEGMANN-Robert William, age 36, unexpectedly on April 26, 2005. Robert lived
in North Merrick, attended Park Ave., Brookside, graduated Calhoun H.S. in
1986 with honors before attending college. Entered Marine Corps, serving 2
tours of duty. In 1998 moved with his family to Montrose, CO. Served 14 months
in Operation Iraqi Freedom with the Colorado National Guard, serving with
distinction. Surviving family members: wife Vona; children Kyla 13, William 7;
parents Robert and Susan Stegmann; brother Karl and wife Alexa Stegmann; aunt
and uncle Alan and Maria Keller; cousins Janet Olson, Lisa and Douglas Fuchs.
