LANDAU-Bernard D. (Bernie, Shimmy, BDL), born November 20, 1930. A graduate of
Brooklyn College and Brooklyn Law School, who pioneered the synthesis of law
with computerization. Founding and Senior Partner of the national law firm of
Hayt, Hayt & Landau, with 35 offices in 8 states. Chairman and CEO of
Professional Data Services. The two combined entities employed more than 1600
people. Recognized by the health care industry as the leader in so many
dimensions of computerizing the needs of the hospital industry from their
business offices to medical records. He spawned and mentored numerous other
professionals and executives into their own successful careers. He will be
missed by all and remembered devoutly by those who knew him best. Bernie
passed away peacefully on May 6, 2005, at home in Locust Valley in his wife
Deborah's arms. Surrounded by endless love from his wife Deborah; 3 children,
Terri, Lauren, and Brian; 5 grandchildren, Alexandra, Lindsay, Allysa, Evan,
and Spencer. Bernie made loving him effortless. His strength will always
shine. In repose at Fairchild Sons, Inc., 1570 Northern Blvd., Manhasset, on

Calif. Eileen was a secretary for the President of Cathedral College in
Douglaston, N.Y. She moved to Iowa City in October of 2003. Eileen's family
includes 2 daughters, Patricia and her husband Richard Noeth of Iowa City, and
Eileen Young of Fort Collins, Colorado; 3 sons, Joseph of Houston, Texas,
Francis and his wife Vicky of Fairfax, Va., and William and his wife Jackie of
College Station, Texas, and 8 grandchildren, including Kristyn and Erinn
Noeth; a sister, Sister Joan Quinlan, O.P. of Commack, N.Y., and 3 brothers,
Robert of Florida, Edward of Albany, N.Y., and Richard of Queens, N.Y. Eileen
was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 sister and 2 brothers.

proudly served as a Radio Officer in the Navy during World War II and later
became a pioneer builder/developer on Long Island. Above all else, he prized
his family and the simple, fundamental values of life.
