Born in New York City, he was the son of the late Lloyd R. and Helen (Smith) Cutler. He graduated from Darrow School in New Lebanon, NY, in 1949 and went to Princeton University until he enlisted in the US Air Force, serving as a helicopter pilot. He was stationed in Germany with the 81st Air Rescue Squadron until 1956. Mr Cutler graduated from Hofstra University in Hempstead, NY with a B.A. in Accounting. Mr. Cutler dedicated his life to helping build his family's manufacturing business, Miracle Adhesives Corporation of Bellmore, NY, where he served as President and CEO. In 1990, he retired to Florida with his wife Sheelagh. In addition to his wife Sheelagh R. Cutler of Fort Pierce, FL; he is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Sheryl and Robert Trezise of Amesbury, MA and Amanda and Colin Batson of Kennebunk, ME; one son and his wife, Timothy and Denise Cutler Jr. of East Amherst, NY; eight grandchildren, Karen, Heather, Kevin, Scott, Nicole, Stephanie, Mackenzie and Austin, and one sister, Mary Joan Graham of Vero Beach, FL.
