Murray is survived by Sylvia Solomonson Zindman, his loving wife of 62 years; his two daughters, Elaine Zindman and Dale Kolenberg; his son, Alan Zindman; his three grandchildren, Ethan, Sara and Jared Kolenberg; his brother and sister-in-law, Freddy and Dorothy Zindman, and several nieces and nephews. Murray was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., in 1924 to Russian immigrants Esther and David Zindman. He owned several successful businesses throughout his lifetime. He and Sylvia raised their family in Oceanside, N.Y., and lived there until 2003, when they retired to Delray Beach, Fla. Murray was an active community volunteer, including many years of service as Chancellor Commander of South Nassau Lodge No. 770, Knights of Pythias. He was awarded an honorary life membership by the Lodge in 2003.
