He obtained his law degree from St. John's University and practiced law in private practice, as Chief Assistant District Attorney, Nassau County and served as a judge in Nassau County's Family Court, County Criminal Court, Surrogate Court and served as a Justice of the Supreme Court, Nassau County. He retired from the bench in 1989 and moved to Lake San Marcos, CA. He was a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife Ottilie "Lee" Delin of Lake San Marcos, CA and two sons, Richard C. Delin Jr. and John Delin, both who reside in San Marcos, CA. She was predeceased by her husband, Reuben Joseph. Rhoda was born in the Bronx on September 6, 1921 to the late Jack and Deane (Cohen) Friedlander. She graduated from Hunter College, later earning her Master's degree and working towards a Doctorate in Education at Hofstra University. Her professional and creative accomplishments included teaching elementary school in the Bronx and in Great Neck; teaching graduate students in the School of Education at C.W. Post; producing educational television and radio programs for children; and writing poetry and other short works. A member of the Great Neck Chamber of Commerce and Womanspace, Rhoda's wit, enthusiasm, love of learning, and interest in others won her new friends at a moment's notice wherever she went. (Porter) ZANETTI Carol A. (nee Porter) of Longwood Drive, Saratoga Springs, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2005 at her home surrounded by her family. She was 69. Born on August 25, 1936 in Saratoga Springs, she was the daughter of the late Milton T. and Margaret (Matrazzo) Porter. Carol was a graduate of Saratoga Springs High School and was a recipient of the Yaddo Medal in 1954. She went on to SUNY Cortland and upon completion of her Bachelor's Degree, attended Hofstra University where she earned her Master's Degree in Education. She taught for many years at Glen Cove Public Middle School on Long Island, retiring in 1995. She then went to work for Barnes and Noble bookstore in Saratoga Springs and eventually was known affectionately as "Miss Carol" while reading to children during the Story Hour. Carol was a member of the Flower and Fruit Mission in Saratoga Springs as well as a board member of the Saratoga Care Foundation. She enjoyed reading, gardening and knitting and began a family tradition of knitting a Christmas stocking for each new family member who was married or born into the extended Zanetti family. Carol will always be remembered by her children and grandchildren for her dedication to attend their functions while growing up. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, John A. Zanetti of Saratoga Springs; her children, John Zanetti and his wife, Karyn of Saratoga Springs, Thomas R. Zanetti of Middle Grove, Paul Zanetti and his wife, Jackie of Greenlawn, LI and Mary Spoto and her husband, Justin of Glen Cove, LI; her brother, Thomas Porter and his wife, Betsy of Saratoga Springs; her beloved grandchildren who knew her as "Eeoo", Shane, Jake, Maddy and Molly Zanetti and Emma and Grace Spoto; two step grandchildren, Lauren and Margot Sivan; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 am Friday, September 9, 2005 at St. Clement's Roman Catholic Church, 231 Lake Avenue, by Rev. Francis E. Sullivan, C.S. S.R., associate pastor. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery on West Avenue. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm on Thursday at the William J.
