Born in the Bronx, Cooper received his law degree from St. John's University in 1939 and as a well-respected real estate attorney throughout seven decades, including with Lane Realty in Forest Hills, and Forchelli Schwartz Mineo, Et Al, in Mineola, and for the past five years as an active sole practitioner. She was predeceased by her husband, Reuben Joseph. Rhoda was born in the Bronx on September 6, 1921 to the late Jack and Deane (Cohen) Friedlander. She graduated from Hunter College, later earning her Master's degree and working towards a Doctorate in Education at Hofstra University. Her professional and creative accomplishments included teaching elementary school in the Bronx and in Great Neck; teaching graduate students in the School of Education at C.W. Post; producing educational television and radio programs for children; and writing poetry and other short works. A member of the Great Neck Chamber of Commerce and Womanspace, Rhoda's wit, enthusiasm, love of learning, and interest in others won her new friends at a moment's notice wherever she went. Rein, Matthew Thomas REIN-Matthew Thomas, born October 13, 1966, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 18, 2005. A rare disease at age 6 left him with renal failure and 3 years on dialysis. His pediatric nephrologist from NSUH, Dr. Melinda McVicar, received permission to treat Matt's unrelenting high blood pressures with minoxidyl, a drug not approved by the FDA. She called him "Little Shaver" because a side affect of the drug was increased hair growth, causing him to shave before his teen years. His kidneys grew which enabled him to discontinue dialysis. He thrived this past year after receiving a transplanted kidney from his dad on August 17, 2004. Cause of death was heart failure. Matt was an avid Yankee fan, skilled chess and poker player, loved country-western music, travel, computer graphics, and word games. He was gifted with a quick sense of humor and a generous heart. He taught technology at Selden Middle School. He leaves his parents, Robert and Joan, sister, Cassandra, brother, Andrew, grandmother Maxine Ward, aunt Sharon Hamann, godparents, Roy and Carole Martinus, godchild, Paige McRae, and numerous cousins and friends. As a Real Estate Entrepreneur and Developer, George was instrumental in building homes for local first time buyers, retirement housing for Senior Citizens, apartments and business/medical complexes in the area. He is survived by his loving wife, Geralyn (nee Lang) and his three children, Kirsten Wieser of Brooklyn, NY, George J. Wieser III of Germany and Jonathan Wieser of Cutchogue and his brothers Karl Wieser of DE, Debra Wieser of PA, Charles Boyle of Md and Joseph Boyle of PA and many nieces and nephews.
