I Joseph Osburne Junior of East Hampton in the County of Suffolk in the province of New York yeoman being in helth of body and of perfect mind and Memory thanks be given to God but calling to mind the uncertainty of this Transitory life and knowing that it is appointed for all Men once to die do therefore Make and ordain this My last Will and Testament, that is to say principally and first of all I give and recommend My Soul into the hands of Almighty God that gave it and My Body I recommend to the Earth to be buried in decent and and Christian Manner at the discretion of My Executors Nothing doubting but at the general Resurection I shall receive the same again by the Almighty power of God hopeing that in and through the Merits Death and Passion of My Saviour Jesus Christ to have full and free pardon of all My Sins and inherit Everlasting life and as touching all such worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to Bless Me with in this life, I give demise and dispose of the same in the following Manner and form first My Will is that all My Just debts and funeral Charges be all paid or be ordained to be paid in some Convenient time after My decease Item I give and bequeath unto Mary My dearly beloved Wife the use of the west room of My Now dwelling House with the Chamber over the said Room and the Westward part of the linton adjoining to the said room so long as she remains My Widow I give and bequeath unto My aforesaid wife two Cowes and one half of my Household Goods of all Except one Bed with the bedding And furniture to the same belonging Which Bed and bedding and the furniture to the same belonging I give it to My Son Thomas Osborne and the other half of My Household Goods I give and bequeath the same to My Daughter Mary Baker Item I give And bequeath unto My beloved Son Jeremiah Osborne and to his hiers and Assigns forever the House Lot I bought of Thomas Wheler with the House thereon in which he Now dwells With all other Buildings on said Lot with the Appurtenances the one half of My close lying Near Georgicai the one half of My close lying Near two Mile Hollow the One half of My Land layed out in tenth Division lying Near Accabonick one half of My Meadow lying at Norwest and one half of My Meadow lying at _aupeage My Close called the Sandy Hook Close My close at the Northwest plain that I bought of John Wheler My Close in the Western plains adjoining to the Land of Thomas Filer to the westward four Acres alotment in the Towns Commons and one quarter part of a share of Land running throughout Meantanck all which Lands Meadows Commons Right in Meantanck and Buildings Givan to My Son Jeremiah Osborne I give freely to be possessed and enjoyed by him his heirs and Assigns forever I also give and bequeath to My Son Jeremiah the us of half My close Yard and bark Mill for his life time Item I give and bequeath unto My beloved Son Thomas Osborne the home Lot I bought of Benj Osborne with all the buildings thereon with the Appurtenances to the same belonging My Close adjoining partly by the Land of Cornelius Conkling and partly by the Land of Samuel Hedges one small picece of Land lying between the Old Stage and Kook Yard Gut one piece of woodland lying in in ama Ganset woods which I and My brother Daniel bought of Thomas Osborne one piece of Land containing about fifty Acres lying Near Accabonick Springs Which I had of Daniel Baker on Exchange for other Land one piece of Meadow with the Swamp adjoining to the same lying at Accobonick Great Meadow four acres alotment in this Town Commons and the one quarter of a share of Land running throughout Mantanch all and Singular Which Lands Meadows Commons building and Rights in Meantanch that I have given to My Son Thomas aforesaid I give it freely to be possessed and enjoyed by him and his heirs & Assigns forever Item I give I give and bequeath unto My beloved Son Joseph Osborne one his heirs & Assigns forever My home Lott Wherein I Now live with all My other Lands Meadows Right in Meantanck And Commons that is Not above given to My Son Jeremiah and My Son Thomas above Named or to either of them And My Will is that My Son Joseph and My Son Jeremiah Shall upon their proper Charge Keep and Maintain two cows for My wife So long as she remains My Widow and to find her with all other things as May be for her honourable and Comfortable Subsistance in the World During her Widowhood Item I give and bequeath unto My Son Joseph and My Son Jeremiah all My tools wainage Leather and Instruments of husbandry to be equally divided between them and as for all My Stock of living Creatures of what Kind soever My will is That they shall be all (Except the two Cows given to My Wife be equally divided between My three Sons above Named and My Daughter Mary Baker finally I nominate Constitute ordain and appoint My Son Jememiah and My Son Joseph to be the Executors of this My Last and Testament. I being there unto Delegated and appointed the last Will and Testament of Joseph Osborne deceased a copy whereof is here unto annexed was proved and Now approved and allowed of by Me the said Deceased having whilst he lived and at the time of his death Good Rights & Credits in diverse places within this province by Means whereof the full disposition of all and Singular the Goods Rights & Credits of the said deceased and the Granting Administration of the as also the hearing of Account Calculation or Reckoning and the final Discharge and Dismission from the same unto Me Solely and not unto inferiour Judge are Manifestly known to belong and the Administration of all and Singular the Goods Rights & Credits of the Said deceased and his last Will and testament in any Manner of ways Concerning was Granted unto Jeremiah Osborn and Joseph Osborn the Executers in the said will Named Chiefly of well and truly Administring the same and of Making a true and perfect Inventory of all and Singular the Goods Rights and Credits of the said deceased and Exhibiting the same into the Registry of the pereogative Court in the Secretarys office of the province of New York at or before the Nineteenth day of March next ensueing and of rendering a just and true account Calculation or Reckoning thereof When there into required the said Jeremiah Osborn and Joseph Osborn having been duely to the true Execution and performance of the said Will In Testimony whereof I have caused the prerogative Seal of the province of New York to be hereunto affixed this Nineteenth day of September One Thousand Seven Hundred and Forty Six G W Banya_ D.Secrey
