I Joseph Robinson of Brookhaven in the County of Suffolk in the Colony of New York being in reasonable health of body and of sound and perfect mind & memory do make and declare this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following. First. I Will that the agreement I made with my endeared Wife Abigail before our marriage be duely and punctually perfomed according to the true intent thereof and I likewise give her the liberty of being and parting of it of my lands as much fire wood as she may have ocation for for her own perticular use for and during the time she continues my widdow and I also give her the use of my Servants in the same manner she now enjoys so long as she remains and abides in my house. Item. I give and bequeath to my son Joseph Robinson five pounds five shillings. Item. I give bequeath and devise to my son John Robinson all the rest residue and remainder of my estate both real and personal whatsoever and wheresoever to have and to hold the same to him my said son John Robinson his heirs and assigns forever. And lastly, do constitute make and appoint my said son John Robinson and David Davis Executors of this my Last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former and other Will or Wills Testament or Testaments by me heretofore made in Writing or otherwise. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twentie third day of February in the twenty sixth year of the Reign of King George the second of Great Britain France and Ireland. Be it Remembred that on the day and year above written personally appeared before me Henry Smith being thereunto delegated and appointed by his Excell William Burnet Esq. late Governour of New York, Isaac Robinson and Samuel Emmons the Subscribing Witnesses to the within written Will of Joseph Robinson, James Tuthil the other witness not appearing and make Oath on the Holy Evangelists of Almighty God that they saw the said Joseph Robinson sign seal publish and declare the same to be his Last Will and Testament and that at the time thereof he was of sound disposing mind and Memory to the best of their knowledge and moreover that they saw the said James Tuthil sign his name with themselves as Witness in the Testators presence to his aforementioned Testament. To all to whom there presents shall come or may concern greeting know ye that at Suffolk County on the thirthieth day of June last before Henry Smith Esqr. being thereunto delegated and appointed the Last Will and Testament of Joseph Robinson deceased (a copy whereof is hereunto annexed) was proved and now approved and allowed of by me the said deceased having whilst he lived and at the time of his death, Goods Chattels and Credits within this Province by means whereof the proving and Registring the said Will and the Granting administration of all and singular the said Goods Chattles and Credits and also the auditing allowing and final discharging the account thereof doth belong unto me and that administration of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased and anyway conerning his Will was granted unto John Robinson and David Davis the Executors in the said Will named being First sworn well and faithfully to administer the same and to make and exhibit a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the said Goods Chattels and Credits and also to render a just and true account thereof when thereunto required.
