I Jason Phelps of the town of Newark Valley, County of Tioga and State of New 
York, being of sound mind and memory do make, ordain, publish and declare this 
to be my last will and testament. That is to say - 

First - After all my lawful debts are paid and discharged, I give, devise and 
bequeath to my nephew William Ellis my silver watch and chain.

Second - I give, devise and bequeath to my niece Clara Ellis my three large 
silver spoons.

Third - I give, devise and bequeath to my niece Clarinda Beecher the six small 
silver spoons which were the property of my first wife.

Fourth - I give, devise and bequeath to my grandson Henry Williams $500 and
the interest thereon till he becomes of age. No part of said sum or interest
shall be paid to him or used for any purpose till he becomes twenty one years
of age,at which time he shall receive the whole amount.

Fifth - I give and bequeath all my household furniture to be divided equally 
between Lucy Jennings, Rebecca A. Tappan, Betsy Ellis and Polly Beecher.

Sixth - I give, devise and bequeath to my wife Dianna Phelps the use of $1000
of my personal property and the use of all my real estate during her lifetime.

Seventh - I give, devise and bequeath all the rest of my personal property and 
all the property that I have willed the use of to my wife after her death to 
Electa Hendricks, Lucy Hubbard and Melissa Grimes to be divided equally among 
them.

I make, constitute and appoint William Cargill of the town of Newark Valley, 
Tioga County, New York to be executor of this my last will and testament,
hereby revoking all former wills made by me.
