I Elisha Baldwin of the Town of Catherine in the State of New York, being infirm of Body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be Given unto God, Calling to mind the mortality of the body and knowing that it is appointed for all men ( ) to die do make and ordain this my last will and testament that is to say principally and first of all I give and commend my soul into the hand of Almighty God that gave it and my Body I commend to the earth to be buried in decent Christian Burial at the discretion of my executors and as touching such worldly estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless me in this life I give devise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form and first I give to my wife Jerusha as the Law directs and second I give to my daughter Polly our cow which she has received thirdly I give to my daughter Anna Lattier wife of Abiel (?) Lattier one cow and household furniture which she has received fourthly I give to my Oldest grandson Henry Baldwin twenty acres of land the east side of the road running thro my land joining on the said road for the love and good will that I bear to him, and lastly I give to my only and well beloved son Philo A Baldwin for the love and good will that I bear to him all the landed property and movable estate that I shall die possessed of excepting such as I have before given he taking car of and supporting his sister Polly and I do further appointh my son Philo A Baldwin to administer this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty fourth day of October in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eight.
