BALDWIN'S WILL The last will and testament of Philo A. Baldwin of the town of Veteran, County of Tioga and State of New York. I Philo A. Baldwin, considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound mind and memory, blessed be Almighty God for the same, do make and publish this my last will and testament in the manner and form following: that is to say first I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Bridget Baldwin One third of all my real and personal estate after settling all just and legal claims that can come against such estate I give and bequeath to my eldest son Harvey the sum of four hundred sixty three dollars I give and bequeath to my son Israel Baldwin the sum of four hundred sixty three dollars- I give and bequeath to my eldest daughter Annence Lattier five hundred and fifty dollars- together with a certain lot of land lying in the State of Pennsylvania, county of Tioga containing sixty four acres of land- I give and bequeath to my daughter Nancy Carpenter Seven hundred Seventh dollars- I give and bequeath to Ira Sherwood one hundred forty dollars- I give and bequeath to my grand daughter Mary Baldwin that is now living with me fifty dollars- It is my last will and testament that my beloved wife shall hold the use of one third of my real and personal estate so long as she remains my widow and no longer- after her decease then her dower to be equally divided between my four children vis. Harvey Baldwin, Israel Baldwin, Annence Lattier & Nancy Carpenter- I hereby revoke all former wills by me made- in witness whereof I have hereunto set my had and seal the thirtieth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty four.
