I David Morton of the town of Groton, County of Tompins and State of New York , being mindful of my mortality do this Eighth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty six do make and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following. First I resign my Soul in to the hands of Almighty God, hoping and believing in a remission of my Sins by the Merit and mediation of Jesus Christ. And my Body I commit to the Earth desiring to be discreetly buried without any funeral process and with as little expense as may be ----- Also I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Isabella Morton during her life the use of all my plates, household goods bedstead bedding and other furniture and all the rest of my personal property whatsoever of what nature, kind and quality **** the same maybe after payments of my debts and funeral expenses. ----- And I do hereby constitute and appoint my son Robert Morton Executor of this my last Will and Testament. I also desire what personal property my said wife Isabella has left that she brought with her when I married her should be delivered up to her Children.
