That is to say Imprimis I give to my son Edward my Gun for his birth right. Item: I give to my son Edward all that Land lying on Anderiesses Hill, Except the falls and a good conveniencies and Room to set a Saw Mill and Room enough for the Logs to which I give to my three sons, Edward, Henry and Jacob. I also give to my son Edward all my Closse. I give and devise to my other two sons namely, Henry and Jacob the Remainder of my Lands together with my Horses, Barn, Barks and all my buildings, together with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging unto my two sons namely Henry and Jacob, to be by them divided share and share alike, to them and their heirs and assigns forever. Unto my three sons it is my will and desire that they shall pay to my three daughters namely Majary, Jude, and Lidia each every of them the sum of ten pounds one year after their stepp mothers Widowship or Death Except their sixth part of their mothers portion which they are all to have and equal share alike namely Edward, Henry, Jacob, Majary, Jude and Lidia 2 years after my decease I give also to my son Henry the Rone Horse, I also give him my blacksmiths tools all what I have. I also give to my son Jacob the other two Horses. I also give to my two sons namely Henry and Jacob and their stepp mother the crop now on the land, also the cow to kill, also the Hogs and sheep. I also give to my two sons Namely Henry and Jacob the Waggon, Plough and Harrow share alike. I also give to my three sons the Remainder of my Loose Estate, excepting two Cows, that is to say my wife Eve is to have the Choice of the Cows one for her self and my daughter Majara is to have one Cow for herself and the Chattle Bed with beding now in it. As also it is my Will and desire that my wife Eve shall have a Sufficient Room to her self and that my two sons namely Henry and Jacob shall find my Wife Eve a Sufficient maintenance during her Widowship, and I make Constitute and Ordain my Wife Eve and my three sons namely Edward, Henry and Jacob to be my Executors in trust to see this my last Will executed, in witness whereof I the said Henry Harp have here unto this my last Will and Testament Set my hand and Seal the Day and year above first written. (signed) Benjamin Low Jun. - Charles Adams - John Low Ulster County, NY - Be it remembered that on the twenty ninth day of February in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and eighty eight, personally came and appeared before me Joseph Gasherie Surrogate of the said County, Benjamin Low Jun. and John Low of the Township of Rochester in the said County, Farmers, and being duly sworn on their Oaths, declared that they and each of them did see Henry Harp sign and seal the within written instrument, purporting to be the Will of the said Henry Harp, bearing date the twenty fifth day of June in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and eighty five and heard him publish and declare the same as and for his last Will and Testament. That at the time thereof he the said Henry Harp was of sound disposing mind and memory to the best of the knowledge and belief of them the deponents and that Charles Adams together with the deponents subscribed the said Will as witnesses thereto in the Testators presence. Joseph Gasherie Surrogate The People of the State of New York by the Grace of God free and independent; To all to whom these presents shall come or may concern: Send Greeting; Know Ye That at Ulster County on the twenty ninth day of February last before Joseph Gasherie Esq. Surrogate of our said County the last Will and Testament of Henry Harp declared (a Copy - whereof is hereunto annexed) was proved and is now approved and allowed of by us and the said deceased having ehilst he lived and at the Time of his Death; Goods, Chattels or Credits within this State by Means whereof the proving and registering the said Will and the granting Administration of all and singular the said Goods, Chattels and Credits and also the Auditing, allowing final discharging the Account there of doth belong unto us: The Administration of all and singular Goods, Chattels and Credits of the said deceased, and any way concerning his Will is granted unto Henry Harp of the Township of Rochester in the said County of Ulster, Farmer, one of the executors in the said Will named, he being first duly sworn well and faithfully to administer the same, and to make and exhibit a true and perfect Inventory of all and Singular the said Goods, Chattels and Credits and also to render a just and true account thereof when thereunto required. In Testimony whereof we have caused the Seal of office of our said Surrogate to be hereunto affixed.
