Do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following: First. I commit my body to the dust from whence it came to be decently buryed (sic) at the discretion of my Executors hereinafter named and appointed and my spirit I commit to God who gave it. In humble hopes of a joyfull resurrection through the merits of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. And as for my worldly goods with which it hath pleased God to bless me I give and dispose of in the following manner: Imprimus, I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Catharine fifty pounds in money, the two best beds., and all their furniture except curtains she is not to have. and she is also to have one black walnut table, one linen wheel, seven of my best sheep, one milch cow, one heifer, all my gese (sic) one womans (sic) saddle and all furniture she brought to me which she is to accept in lue (sic) and instead of dower. She and her two daughters are to boarded one year after my decease out of my estate and should she again marry after my decease then all her part except one bed and bedding is to be equally divided between my two daughters Peggy and Ginny. Only the goods she brought to me she is to have during life. Should she die a widow then the whole of her property is to be equally divided between Peggy and Ginny. IMPRIMUS I give and bequeath unto my sons John and Henry fifteen pounds a piece in money and my son David six pounds in money and a new Quarto English Bible to be bought for him by my executors. Imprimus I give unto my son Justus my best loom and all the loom tackling belonging to it. I give my daughter Peggy a small trunk in which my writings is after my executors have settled my estate. I give my daughter Mary a small paper box marked with marked with her name on the bottom. I give all my wearing apparel to my sons to be equally divided among them all at the discretion of my Executors IMPRIMUS I give and bequeath all the residue of my estate after my just debts and funeral charges and the above legacities (sic) is paid. My executors is to divide equally among my sons Cornelius, Jacob, Ezekiel, and Justus and my daughters Elisabeth, Sarah, Catharine, Mary, Peggy and Ginny each in equal proportion or share and share alike, a book called Warren Christendom. I give to Elisabeth and each of my children as may be under the age of twenty one years at my death. I appoint my executors their guardians who at discretion may put their part or parts as the case be may to interest and bind them to tiddes (?) if they think proper it is my will that my watch be given to my son who may have the care and management of my farm and business and immediately before my decease any former bequest notwithstanding and I do constitute and appoint my beloved son in law Peter Bensel and my friends Henry Smith and Matthew Hunter, Esquires my executors of this my last will and testament and do direct them immediately after my decease to make a true and perfect inventory and sell at publick (sic) then due all my property not above bequeathed and I do hereby revoke and declare all former or other wills void and of none essed as to my estate - In Witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal this thirteenth day of April in the year of our Lord 1792 Jacob Linderman (L.S) Signed Sealed and Published and declared as and for the last will and testament of the testator in presence of before the signing of this will it is to remembered that Justus is to have my best gun and accutriments (sic) and my son Ezekiel, the next best gun and accutriments --------- Alex. Be it remembered that on the tenth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety two personally came and appeared before me, Joseph Gasherie Surrogate of the said county, Hezekiah Bensel of the town of Montgomery in the said county, farmer and being duly sworn in his oath declared that he did see Jacob Linderman sign and seal the within written instrument purporting to be the will of the said Jacob Linderman bearing date the thirteenth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety two and that he publish and declare the same as and for his last will and testament that at the time thereof he the said Jacob Linderman was of sound disposing mind and memory to the best of his knowledge and belief of him the deponent and that Alexander Patterson and Cornelius Linderman together with the deponent subscribed the said will as witnesses therein the testators presence - - - - - - Joseph Gasherie Surrogate The people of the State of New York by the grace of God free and independent To all to whom these presents shall come or may come send greeting(s). Know ye that at & for the county on the 10 November last past before Joseph Gasherie, Esq. Surrogate of our said county, the last will and testament of Jacob Linderman deceased a copy whereof is hereunto annexed was proved and is now approved and allowed of by us and the said deceased having whilst he and at the time of his death, goods, chattels or credits with this state, by means whereof the proving and registering of the said will and the granting administration of all and his the said goods, chattels and credits and also the render allowing and final discharging the account thereof doth belong unto us, the administration of all and singular the goods, chattels and credits of the said deceased and a way concerning his will is granted unto Peter Bensel, Henry Smith and Matthew Hunter, the executors in the said will named they being first duly sworn well as faithfully to administer the same and to make and exhibit a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the said goods, chattels and credits and also to render a just and true account thereof when thereunto required. IN TESTIMONY whereof we have caused the Seal of Office of our said Surrogate to be hereunto affixed.
