He was born Feb. 12, 1923, in the town of Greenwich, to Henry J. and Katherine Grace (O'Connor) Edie. Jack grew up in the village of Hudson Falls, graduating from Hudson Falls High School in 1940. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged on Nov. 8, 1945 as an Electrician's Mate Third Class. Jack later began a long career with the New York Telephone Company, retiring in 1985, after over 30 years of employment. He married June Mary Bishop on Aug. 22, 1943, at St. Mary's Church in Glens Falls. They lived in Hudson Falls, Glens Falls, South Glens Falls and Queensbury, before moving to Fort Hudson Nursing Home in August 2003. He was a member of Our Lady of the Annunciation Church, Queensbury, B.P.O.E. Elks Lodge No. 81, New York Telephone Pioneers and past member of the Knights of Columbus. In addition to his parents, Jack was predeceased by his brother, Henry J. Edie Jr. Besides his loving wife, he is survived by two sons, Michael and his wife, Ellen, of Pinehurst, N.C., and Gary and his wife, Mary Anne, of Queensbury; his grandson, Shawn, of Dartmouth, Mass.; and his granddaughter, Courtney, of Clifton Park. Jack's family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Daniel C. Edleston, 63, of County Route 64 A, died unexpectedly on Friday, April 22, 2005, at Glens Falls Hospital. She was the wife of Edward A. Edleston. Born Monday, Aug. 18, 1941, in Granville, she was the daughter of Claude and Florence Clark Hayes. The family lived in Pawlet, Vt. and moved to Shushan when Della was a young girl. She attended school in Shushan and Salem Washington Academy. On July 31, 1965, she and Edward were married. Della enjoyed flowers and being outdoors. Though not a member, she enjoyed going to the Shushan Grange meetings. She liked to go visiting and would do anything for her family and friends. She truly had a heart of gold. Along with her husband of 39 years, she is survived by a daughter, Tina M. Edleston of Shushan; a son, Philip Edleston of Glens Falls; a brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Virginia Hayes of Shushan; two nieces; two great-nieces; a great nephew; a sister-in-law, Doris Edleston; and many cousins. Friends and relatives are invited to call from 12 noon until 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26, at Ackley & Ross Funeral Home, 73 West Main St., Cambridge. Jordan, Mildred "Millie" QUEENSBURY and LAKE GEORGE -- Mildred "Millie" Jordan, 86, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2005, after a short illness, surrounded by her loving family and caregivers. Born on April 26, 1918, in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of the late Louis Rizzo and Angelina (Scazafava) Rizzo, one of eight children. Millie was raised in the Park Slope area of Brooklyn, where she met and married Daniel Jordan on June 22, 1938. In the 1950s, she and Danny owned and operated a restaurant and bar in Brooklyn until moving to Lake George in 1961. Together, Millie and Danny owned and operated Danny Jordan's Neapolitan Cuisine and the Stewart Arms Hotel on Canada Street in Lake George. Later, they owned and operated DJ's Night Club, Papa Wow's Restaurant and the Villager Motor Inn. In their retirement years, Millie and Danny spent their winters in Pompano Beach, Fla., and their summers in Lake George. Millie was a communicant of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Lake George for many years. She loved spending time with her family, was an avid reader, and enjoyed watching old movies. Millie especially enjoyed being with her great-grandchildren, who brought her much joy. Millie was predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, Danny Jordan; daughter-in-law, Grace Jordan; three brothers, Tony, Joey, and Paulie Rizzo; and two sisters, Mary Bruno and Connie DiGuiseppi. She is survived by her son, Louis Jordan of Queensbury; a daughter, Rosetta Kelly and her husband, Frank, of Staten Island; one sister, Rose LaCirasella and her husband, Richard, of Staten Island; one brother, Salvatore Rizzo and his wife, Marie, of Plain View, Long Island; five grandchildren: Daniel Jordan and his wife, Lisa, of Greenwich, Debbie Jordan of Lake George, Lisa Iraci and her husband, Roy, of Staten Island, Frank Kelly and his wife, Danielle, of Staten Island, and Thomas Jordan of Key West, Fla; and 10 great- grandchildren: Joshua, Christina, and Elias Jordan of Greenwich, Frank Mineo of Queensbury and Jordana Mineo of Lake George, Lisa and Ashley Rose Iraci of Staten Island, Frank, Brianna and Madison Kelly of Staten Island; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. "Mick" Kent, 77, died Thursday, April 21, 2005, at South Western Vermont Medical Center after a long battle with emphysema. He was the husband of Marjorie Gailor Kent. A life long resident of Cambridge, Marshall was born at Mary McClellan Hospital on Saturday, Dec. 3, 1927, the son of Leon V. and Marguerite Montgomery Kent. After graduating from Cambridge Union School, class of 1945, he joined the United States Navy and served until 1948. He served aboard the USS Collins and the USS Bayfield, mainly working in the mailroom. He and Marge were married Aug. 12, 1951. Marshall returned to Cambridge and worked as a postal carrier for the US Postal Service. He retired after more than 30 years of service. He worked as a security guard at Mary McClellan Hospital for a short time. He enjoyed hunting and watching car racing and other sports on television. Marshall was a fifty year member of Cambridge-Salem Lodge No. 481, Free & Accepted Masons. He was predeceased by his son, Steven J. Kent, who died in 1986; and his brother, Albert Kent. Besides his wife of 53 years, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Janis and Paul Wakeley of Glens Falls; three grandchildren, Sarah Kowalski of Charlton, Joshua and Hannah Wakeley of Glens Falls; a sister-in-law, Marion W. Kent of Troy; a sister-in-law and her husband, Ellie and George Hastings of Cambridge; four nephews, Richard and David Kent and Bill and Bob Hastings and cousins, Tom and Mary Loren. A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 25, 2005, at 2 p.m. at Ackley & Ross Funeral Home, 73 West Main St., Cambridge. Kipp, 76, a resident of Eddy Street, died Thursday, April 21, 2005, at Glens Falls Hospital, surrounded by his three daughters, after a short illness. Born Sept. 3, 1928, in Cambridge, he was the son of Jesse and Minnie Townsend Kipp. Mr. Kipp was a former employee of Stevens and Thompson Paper Co. in Greenwich and the James River Paper Mill in Glens Falls. In later years he delivered parts for Airland Auto Parts in Greenwich. He was a member of the Bottskill Baptist Church and a member of Ashlar Lodge No. 584 Free & Accepted Masons in Greenwich. Survivors include his daughters, Linda Schneible and her husband, Paul, of Greenwich, Bonnie Raney of Greenwich, and Judy Mattison and her husband, John, of Greenwich; stepchildren, Darlene Hughes of Greenwich, Donna Vielkind of Webster, N.Y., Peter Kuzmich, William Kuzmich, and Chris Kuzmich all of Greenwich; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, April 25, 2005, at Flynn Bros., Inc., Funeral Home, 80 Main St., Greenwich, with the Rev. Dan O'Connor officiating. Monterosso, Evelyn Chestertown -- Evelyn Monterosso, 91, died Thursday, April 21, 2005, at Orchid Nursing Home in Granville. Born Aug 24, 1913, in Queens, she was the daughter of the late Cosimo and Julia (Farmichella) Crovella. Mrs. Monterosso moved from Inwood, N.Y. to Chestertown with her husband in 1988. She will be remembered as very religious person and being a devoted and loving wife and mother. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Monterosso, whom she married May 6, 1946, and died Aug. 19, 1999; one brother, Joseph Crovella; and one sister, Ann Miller, all died before her. Survivors include one son, Joseph E. Monterosso of Rotterdam Junction; one daughter, Teresa Monterosso of Chestertown; two sisters, Rose Phelen of Jamestown and Mary Phelen of Inwood; also several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, April 25, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Chestertown. "Hank" Park Jr., 54, of Hartford, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2005, at the Glens Falls Hospital. Born in West Pawlet, Vt., on May 26, 1950, he was the son of the late Henry J. Park Sr. and Sophia (Stetz) Park. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by special family member, Mike Place. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Sandi (Rowe) Park of Hartford; his two daughters, Kimberly Park and her fianc‚, Rich Bennett, of Queensbury, and Deanna Park of Glens Falls; his son, Ryan Park who is currently serving in the USMC, stationed in Yuma, Ariz.; his two brothers, Mike Park and his wife, Ellie, and Rodney Park and his significant other, Donna Casey, all of West Pawlet, Vt.; two sisters, Joanne McCullen and her husband, Lynn, of Watertown, N.Y., and Toddy Priest of West Rutland, Vt.; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Published in the Post-Star on 4/23/2005. Perry, Guy Russell Wilton -- Guy Russell Perry, age 88, of Northern Pines Road, died Friday morning, April 22, 2005, at Saratoga Hospital. Born on Oct. 8, 1916, in Middle Grove, he was the son of Guy F. and Ellen (McCarthy) Perry. Ellen died during childbirth and Guy was lovingly raised by his grandparents, Edgar J. and Carrie E. Perry. He attended a one room school house in Daketown and Saratoga High School. On June 13, 1936, he married Doris S. Mundell in Galway at the home of her parents. Guy worked as an Electrician for Delaware and Hudson Rail Road in Colonie prior to his retirement in 1973. He had also worked as a Pinkerton for New York Racing Association and for the Saratoga Springs Police Department, as well as part time Game Warden for New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. He was a 53 year member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 1231, Colonie and Local 237, Niagara Falls. He was a Cornell Cooperative Extension Master Gardener, a former member of the Kiwana's Club Golden K's and the Oddfellows Lodge, Middle Grove. He had been a member of the Boy Scouts of America Troop No. 1 in Greenfield Center. Guy enjoyed gardening, chair caning, collecting train memorabilia, especially Delaware and Hudson, hunting, fishing, smoking his pipe, and puttering around his workshop. He was an avid New York Yankee fan. He was predeceased by an infant son, Guy R. Perry Jr.; one sister, Mabel L. Sodano; four stepsisters, Leona Barnes, Edith Kondenar, Thelma Jewell and Dorothy Burnash, and one brother, Donald Perry. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Doris Perry; one daughter, Judith C. Farone and her husband, Denis, of Wilton; one son, Timothy C. Perry and his wife, Dianna, of Port Orange, Fla.; four grandchildren, Anna C. Farone and her husband, David Round, of Wilton, Tammy C. Stiles and her husband, Russell, of Greenville, S.C.; Patricia Miller and her husband, Michael, of Lake Luzerne; Kevin M. Perry of Newport News, Va.; six great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Michael and Emily Miller, David Stiles, Kylin and Dustin Perry; two brothers-in-law, Millard "Bill" Jewell of Wilton, Harry Mundell and his wife, Eve, of Wells and Brookville, Fla.; one sister-in-law, Lois Dickinson and her husband, Harold "Dick," of Glen Lake; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 11:30 a.m. Sunday at Brewer Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Church St., Lake Luzerne, with the Rev. Virginia Cornell, officiating. Burial will be in Middle Grove Cemetery. Rehm, Phillip Jean CLEMONS -- Phillip Jean Rehm, 76, of Pike Book Road, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2005, at his home surrounded by his family and friends. Born on June 28, 1928, in Whitehall, he was the son of the late Harold and Edna (Hyatt) Rehm. Phillip was a long time resident of Clemons and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was predeceased by a daughter, Joan Eileen; a son, P. Jacob; and a brother, Alton Rehm. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Betty Rehm of Clemons; his eldest daughter, Judith Fitzgerald of Columbia, Tenn.; his youngest son, Jonathan Rehm of Clemons; his grandchildren, Tammy Seaborn of Jackson, Tenn., Phillip Rehm of Clemons, Heather Paul of West Rutland, Vt., Samantha Rehm of Clemons and his great-grandson, Jaymes Seaborn of Jackson, Tenn.; three sisters, Josie Kamuda of Wallingford, Vt., Allie Barber of Clemons and Edna Rehm of Granville; and many nieces and nephews.
