QUEENSBURY -- Pamela S. Bannon, 37, of Petrie Lane, Queensbury, passed away unexpectedly Friday, April 22, 2005. Born Dec. 15, 1967, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Samuel E. Bannon and Jeannette P. (King) Bannon of Glens Falls. Being raised in Queensbury, she attended and graduated from Queensbury High School, Class of 1986. She furthered her education by attending Adirondack Community College. For many years, she worked for Price Chopper Food Stores, both in Queensbury and Glens Falls, mainly as a clerk, and most recently at The Sagamore resort in Bolton Landing, with the housekeeping department. Pamela had an outgoing personality who loved being around people, with never an idle moment. She was constantly on the go, enjoying bingo with her mom, roller-skating with her daughter at Skateland, now known as the Fun Spot, cross-stitching, playing cards, especially canasta, with her friends, bike riding, and absolutely loved going to Friendly's restaurant by the Aviation Mall. She was also a great animal lover, especially of Kloe, her daughter's dog, and of Munchkin and Ginger, her sister's cats, whom she would hunt down and make of, every time she visited her sister's home. Above all, she truly loved and cherished her only child, her daughter, Ashley Ann, who will miss her greatly. Besides her father, Samuel S. Bannon, who passed away in 1976, her paternal grandparents, Edward and Agnes (Sanders) Bannon, and maternal grandparents, Albert and Beatrice (Stockdale) King, also predeceased her. Survivors include her mother, Jeannette Bannon of Glens Falls; her daughter, Ashley Ann Rivers of Hudson Falls; five brothers: Les Bannon and his wife, Maggie, of Hartford, Joseph Bannon of Hudson Falls, Thomas Bannon and his girlfriend, Martha Madden, of Queensbury, Fredrick Bannon, also of Queensbury, and Edward Bannon and his wife, Carolyn, of South Glens Falls; two sisters, Cynthia Davis and her husband, John, of Glens Falls, and Debra King and her husband, Frederick, of Hudson Falls; also several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends, with special mention of Dawn Kineke, Stacey Mayer, and Violet Hyatt. At Pamela's request, calling hours and funeral will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends and family are invited to the Rite of Committal at 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 29, at St. Mary's Cemetery, South Glens Falls, with the Rev. Robert Nugent, pastor of St. Michael's Catholic Church, South Glens Falls, officiating. PLATTSBURGH -- Robert A. Dubay, 56, of Lynde Street, Plattsburgh, passed away Friday, April 22, 2005, at Nyack Hospital in Nyack. Born on Dec. 31, 1948, in Plattsburgh, he was the son of Harold and Madeline (Robare) Dubay. Robert was a Vietnam veteran, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a graduate of the first class of the Elite Border Patrol Group BORTAC, which was responsible for undercover overseas drug details. Robert retired after 26 years, retiring at the Champlain, N.Y., station. Robert coached basketball at St. John's and Seton Catholic Central schools. He was a Boston Red Sox fan, an avid golfer and a member of the North Country Golf Club. He was a member of St. John's Church in Plattsburgh. His father, Harold Dubay, died before him. Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Denise J. (Lamoy) Dubay of Plattsburgh; their children: Jeremy Dubay and his wife, Rachel, of Albany, Eric Dubay of Plattsburgh, and Christopher Dubay of Dudley, Mass.; his mother, Madeline Dubay of Newcomb; one brother, Richard Dubay and his wife, Debra, of Peru; two sisters, Linda Fiebke and her husband, Ed, and Debra Robitaille and her husband, Robert, of Gansevoort; two grandsons, Kaleb Gohlke and Brady Dubay; as well as several nieces and nephews. Hampl, age 48, of Poultney, Vt., passed away Saturday, April 23, 2005, at Rutland Regional Medical Center, after a courageous battle with cancer. Donna was born on Dec. 19, 1956, in Proctor, Vt., the daughter of Donald Sr. and Veronica (Brown) Shaw. She married her husband, Michael Hampl, on May 25, 1979, in Wells, Vt. Donna was employed as a secretary for Coldwell Banker at the Castleton Corners for several years. She was a member of Hydeville Baptist Church. Donna enjoyed gardening, painting and restoring antique paintings. She took great pride in caring for her family and being a mother. She is survived by her husband, Michael Hampl of Poultney, Vt.; one daughter, Katherine "Katie" Hampl of Poultney; her parents, Donald Shaw Sr of Albion, Ind..; and Veronica Shaw of Wells, Vt.; two brothers, David Shaw of Bomoseen, Vt. and Donald Shaw Jr. of Wells, Vt.; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her very special first cousin, Aleda Dutton of Hydeville. Relatives and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday at Roberts-Aubin Funeral Home in Poultney, Vt. McLaren, Mary Lupo "Dottie" GANSEVOORT -- Mary "Dottie Lupo McLaren, 88, of Pettis Road, died Saturday, April 23, 2005, at her son's home, following a long illness. Born in Troy, Mrs. McLaren lived in Mechanicville, later at Saratoga Lake for a number of years, and lastly lived in the Albia section of Troy for many years. A seamstress, Mrs. McLaren worked at Standard Manufacturing of Troy, and the Van Raalte Co. of Saratoga Springs. She was a former member of Sacred Heart Church of Troy. Mrs. McLaren enjoyed playing bocce ball with the South Troy Senior Citizens, and loved to do crafts, such as doll making and sewing. She was predeceased by her husbands, Joseph Lupo, who died in 1952, and Walter McLaren, who died in 1974. Survivors include her two sons, Hugh and Penny Lupo of Norwalk, Conn., and Joseph and Cathy Lupo of Gansevoort; grandchildren: Joseph Lupo III, Susan Ashline, Joseph W. Lupo, Tammy Mueller and Mark Lupo; great-grandchildren: Jake, Jon, Daniel, Cheyne, Jolene and Sarah; and several nieces and nephews. "Grace" DANBY, Vt. -- Eugenia J. "Grace" Millard, 87, of Danby, died Saturday afternoon, April 23, 2005, at Genesis Elder Care Mountain View Center. She was born on Jan. 11, 1918, in Holyoke, Mass., the daughter of Wladyslaw and Francis (Karpinski) Kapusta. Mrs. Millard had been employed by J.K. Adams for many years, then by Manchester Wood until her retirement in 1980. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Church in Danby, Vt. Survivors include a daughter, Theresa Jones of Pawlet, Vt.; a son, Richard Millard of Atlanta, Ga.; a grandson, Allen Dee Ford of Dallas, Texas; a sister, Stella Pearce; two brothers, Frank Kapusta and Raymond Kapusta, all of Danby, Vt.; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Millard, in 1954; a son, Edward E. Millard, in 2001; and two brothers, Henry Kapusta and John Kapusta. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Holy Trinity Church, Danby, Vt. Burial will follow in the St. Jerome Cemetery.
