Born on June 1, 1945, in Manhattan, she was the daughter of Leonard and Amelia Gordon. She married Louis Coppola in 1977, in Brooklyn. Josephine and Louis moved to Lake Luzerne in the late 1980s. She enjoyed bingo, crossword puzzles, and spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Louis Coppola; two sons, Joseph Schutta, Leonard Coppola and his wife, Jodi, of Lake Luzerne; one brother, Vincent Gordon and his wife, Linda, of Staten Island; three grandchildren, Anthony, Valerie and Jonathan Coppola, all of Lake Luzerne; and two nephews, Anthony and Michael Gordon. Funeral services will be conducted at 12 noon on Wednesday, at Brewer Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Church St., Lake Luzerne, with the Rev. Charles Gaffigan, pastor of the Church of the Holy Infancy, officiating. Burial will be in Holy Infancy Cemetery, Lake Luzerne. Friends may call Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the services at Brewer Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Church St., Lake Luzerne. GRANVILLE -- Funeral arrangements for Brian M. Douglas, 26, who died as the result of an accident Friday, April 22, 2005, on the New Jersey Turnpike, are pending the release by New Jersey authorities. Stockwell, 80, of Ridge Avenue, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2005, at her home from natural causes. Born Dec. 7, 1924, in Warrensburg, she was the daughter of the late Marshall and Alice (Reynolds) Burt. Janice was a lifelong resident of the area and married Willard D. Stockwell. Mr. Stockwell passed away on Jan. 29, 1981, after 38 years of marriage. She was a member of the Warrensburg First United Methodist Church, MADD, and a former member of the International Order of the Eagle. Janice enjoyed being outdoors, tending to her flowers and her garden. In her early years, she also enjoyed fishing. Besides her parents and husband, her brother, Donald Burt, died before her. Survivors include her son, Mark Stockwell and her daughter, Sherry Stockwell, both of Warrensburg; her sister, Velda Deale of Pinellas Park, Fla.; two grandchildren, Richard Stockwell and his wife, Shannon, of South Glens Falls, Michelle Stockwell of South Glens Falls; three great-grandchildren, Ricky, Mary and Justin Stockwell, all of South Glens Falls. Friends may call from 10 to 12 p.m. Wednesday at Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 12 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dawn Robbins, pastor of the Warrensburg First United Methodist Church, officiating. Published in the Post-Star on 4/26/2005. Worth, Jon G. Wilton -- Jon G. Worth, age 70, of Fowler Lane, died Sunday afternoon, April 24, 2005, at his home following a long illness. Born on March 1, 1935, in Wilton, he was the son of Wesley and Lillian (Hogeboom) Worth. Jon was a graduate of Saratoga High School. He served in the United States Naval Reserve from 1955 to 1961. Jon married Eva C. Helenek on July 2, 1955, at St. Clement's Church, Saratoga Springs. Eva died on Aug. 1, 2003. He was employed in Labor Relations at New York Telephone for many years prior to his retirement in 1990. Jon was a member of the Wilton Heritage Society and the Telephone Pioneers of America. He was a registered member of the National Ski Patrol and enjoyed the many winters he spent working at Alpine Meadows in Porter Corners. Jon loved his family and enjoyed be surrounded by them. He enjoyed spending winters in Largo, Fla., playing golf, hunting, fishing, skiing, and woodworking. He owned a saw mill and was a partner in STG Construction, Wilton. Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Lancellotti and her husband, Anthony, of Clifton Park; two sons, Michael Worth and his wife, Debbie, of Wilton, Steven Worth and his wife, Pam, of Wilton; six grandchildren, Amanda Worth, Elizabeth Lancellotti, Melissa Lancellotti, Connor Worth, Christine Lancellotti and Madison Worth; one sister, Thelma Dumont and her husband, Dave, of Largo, Fla.; two brothers, Wesley Worth and his wife, Maxine, of Stevens Point, Wis., and Gerald Worth and his wife, Eleanor "Toot" of Wilton; one brother-in-law, James Helenek and his wife, Dagmar, of Wilton; two sisters-in-law, Irene Helenek of Saratoga Springs and Nancy Richmond of Saratoga Springs; several nieces, nephews and cousins. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, at St. Clement's Church, Saratoga Springs. Burial will be in Gurn Springs Cemetery, Wilton. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, of 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs.
