Indian Lake and Argyle -- Sheila F. Arsenault, of Sabael Road, died Tuesday evening, Aug. 2, 2005, following a long illness, at the home of her daughter, Claire Strohmeyer, in Argyle. Born on May 10, 1931, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of Francis and Helen (Murphy) Farrell. She was a graduate of Johnsburg Central School and in 1954 received a Bachelor degree from the College of Saint Rose. Family was tremendously important to Shelia and she greatly enjoyed caring for her family and being a stay-at-home mom. She assisted in operating the family business, Lake Francis Cottages, in Indian Lake for many years. Beginning in 1976, Sheila was employed as a business teacher at Indian Lake Central School. In 1988 she began working for Hamilton County Department of Social Services as a caseworker. Sheila's strength, kindness and selflessness will not be forgotten by all who knew and loved her. She was predeceased by her husband, F. Gene Arsenault who died on May 31, 1990; her parents and three brothers, Peter Farrell, Patrick Farrell and John Farrell. Survivors include her five children: Anne Arsenault of Lake George Village, Gina Grillo of Greenwich, Claire Strohmeyer and her husband, Michael, of Argyle, Mark Arsenault and his wife, Anne, of Toms River, N.J., and Sean Arsenault and his fiance‚, Julie Whitman, of Indian Lake; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; six siblings, Helen Marie Farrell of Herkimer, Joan Miller and her husband, Bill, of Norwalk, Conn., Nancy Sargent and her husband, Bob Wiedeman, of North Creek, Margaret Lofthouse and her husband, Gordon, of Toronto, Canada, James Michael Farrell and his wife, Susan, of Indian Lake, and Brian Farrell of Indian Lake; as well as 21 nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Church, Indian Lake, with the Rev. Sony Pulickal, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Cedar River Cemetery, Indian Lake. Friends may call Thursday, today, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home, 35 West Main St., Indian Lake. Saratoga Springs -- Stanley H. Bradley Sr., 76, a resident of Louden Road, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Aug. 03, 2005, at Saratoga Hospital. Born Jan. 18, 1929, in New York City, he was the son of Albert and Susan Hubbal Wells. Stanley was a retired mechanic for Niagara Mohawk Power Company where he was employed for 38 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Gansevoort for many years and was also a member of the Elks Lodge. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wives, Ann R. Bradley and Bessie M Bradley; daughters, April Hope Bradley and Gail Jennings; sons, Harrison Jennings and Ted Older, and one grandson, Christopher Bradley. Survivors include his special companion, Marie Drew of Saratoga Springs; sons, Joseph Bradley and wife, Eva, of Granville, Stanley Bradley Jr. of Hartford, William Bradley and companion, Sandy Cook, of Hudson Falls, and Scott Bradley and wife, Diane, of South Glens Falls; daughters, Nina Shaw and husband, David, of Hartford, Barbara Roberts and husband, Thomas, of Gansevoort, Stephanie Sousie of Gansevoort, June Scott of Saratoga Springs, and Beth Ann Jennings of Vermont; his former wife, Sue Murphy of Maine; granddaughters, Lisa Clogston, Tina Stone, Alina and Katrina Shaw, Susan and Marie Roberts, Cassandra and Alice Louise Sousie, Skylar and McKenna Bradley, Audrey Bryant, Cheryl Smith, Lisa Hobus, Ashley Bradley, and Kimberly Wood; grandsons, Bryan Roberts, Jason, Matt, Adam, Alex, and Michael Jennings, Craig and Kyle Thompson, and Stanley Bradley III; great- grandchildren, Marc and Dion Clogston, Alyssa and Devin Fified, Taylor Stone, Cierra Bryant, Cody McLaughlin, Ashley Hobus, Evan and Alexandra Smith. Burke, 88 formerly of Route 9, passed away, Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2005, at the Stanton Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre in Queensbury with his loving family at his side. Born Aug. 1, 1917, in Brooklyn, he was the son of E. Emmett and Grace (Davis) Burke. He attended Brooklyn Prep School and went on to Hofstra University on Long Island. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1941, and served in the European Theater of Operations and in Alaska during World War II. Following his honorable discharge in 1945, Ed returned home and married his childhood sweetheart, Dorothy Hoenig in Queens on Jan. 19, 1946. Ed was a refrigeration foreman with Mayer Construction Co. and with Met Life in Manhattan before becoming an independent refrigeration contractor. He and his wife purchased Burke's Tall Pines on Loon Lake in 1968 and operated the summer cottage business for more than 20 years. They enjoyed wintering in Fort Myers, Fla. Ed was a member of the Chestertown VFW, Chamber of Commerce and the Loon Lake Association. He was also a communicant of St. John's the Baptist Church in Chestertown and attended St. Cecilia's Roman Catholic Church in Warrensburg. His beloved wife of 50 years, Dorothy Burke died on Sept. 7, 1996. Survivors include his children, Arlene Swan and her companion, Rich Paschley, of Warrensburg, Carol Ellis and her husband, Don, of Pawleys Island, S.C., Robert Emmett Burke and his wife, Lauren, of Rensselaer, Kathleen Monroe and her husband, Dave, of Warrensburg; 11 grandchildren, Tonya May and her husband, Chris, Brandon Donato and his wife, Stephanie, Michael Donato, Brennan and Tyson Ellis, Matthew and Benjamin Burke, Megan Farrar and her husband, Jim, Josh, Luke and Casey Monroe; four great grandchildren, Maxwell, Colby and Riley May and Paige Donato. Gill, 61, died Wednesday, July 27, 2005, at his home after along illness. Born Aug. 23, 1943, in New Haven, Conn., he was the son of the late Ronald H. Gill who died June 19, 2005, and Janet Lewis Gill of Chestertown. David served in the United States Navy from 1960 to 1965, and was stationed on board the SSN Abraham Lincoln. He graduated from the Culinary Institute of America. David retired in January 2005, as a union truck driver after 36 years of service; his latest company that he was employed was Stop & Shop. Survivors besides his mother, his wife of 40 years, Elizabeth Masterson Gill of Madison, Conn.; two sons, David John Gill and his companion, Michelle Morin, of Lyndeboro, N.H. and Jason Daniel Gill of Boulder, Colo.; two brothers, Ronald Gill and His wife, Priscella of Chestertown and Roger Gill and his wife, Susan, of Chestertown; also several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Memorial services were held Wednesday, Aug. 3, at Grace Episcopal Church, in Madison, Conn. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, at Chester Rural Cemetery, Chestertown with the Rev. Marzola, Pauline Queensbury -- Pauline Marzola, 85, of Queensbury passed away Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2005, at Westmount Health Facility. Mrs. Marzola was born Dec. 18, 1919, in Casleton, Vt., she was the daughter of the late Noel D. and Mary E. (Murray) Nichols. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church Glens Falls. For many years she was a home health aide for Warren County caring for many residents in the Queensbury and Glens Falls areas. Besides her parents, her husband, Anthony Marzola predeceased her as well as three sisters, Marion Maille, Hazel Loomis, and Rita Scoville; and one brother, Leo Nichols. Survivors include her sons, Gary A. Marzola of Citrus Springs, Fla., and John Dunn of South Glens Falls; her loving grandchildren, Kyleen and John Dunn, both of South Glens Falls, and Sonya Marzola of Newington, Conn.; along with her niece, Joyce Elms of Hudson Falls. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, 2005, at St. Mary's Church, Glens Falls with Father Joseph Gough officiating. Milardo, 64, of Comstock, N.Y. formerly of Killingworth died on Tuesday in Glens Falls, N.Y. Born on Sept. 24, 1940, in Melilli, Italy, he was the son of Angelina (Pizzuto) Milardo and the late Luigi Milardo. He had been the former owner of Sebastians Caf‚ in Haddam. Mr. Milardo was a member of Saint Sebastian Church. Besides his mother, he is survived by his loving family three sons and daughters-in-law, Louis and Gianna Milardo of Haddam, John and Amy Milardo of Middletown, Mario and Kori Milardo of Middlefield; a daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Rich Magnano of Middletown; a sister and brother-in-law, Nella and Louis Aresco of Middletown; nine grandchildren, Nicole Magnano, Kaitlyn Magnano, Julia Magnano all of Middletown, Jourdan Milardo and Louis Milardo Jr. both of Haddam, Jennah Milardo and John Milardo both of Middletown, Isabel Milardo and Taylor Milardo both of Middlefield. Also his companion of 14 years, Cheryl Strong of Comstock, N.Y., and her daughter, Tina Czepiel, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Sebastian Milardo. The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday from the Coughlin- Lastrina Funeral Home, 491 High Street, Middletown, Conn., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Sebastian Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be in the family plot in Saint Sebastian Cemetery, Middlefield. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday. Dad was a pillar of strength for his family. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. His love for his animals will never be forgotten. A memorial gathering in memory of Mario Milardo will be held on Aug. 27, after 1 p.m. in the K.C. Schaap, Natalie Jeanette QUEENSBURY -- Natalie Jeanette Schaap, 86, of Queensbury and formerly of Delaware, N.J., passed away Tuesday morning, Aug. 2, 2005, at Westmount Health Facility, Gurney Lane, Queensbury, following a long illness. Born Nov. 11, 1918, in Jersey City, N.J., she was the daughter of the late James and Margaret (Kern) Keenan. For most of her life, she was employed as a dedicated dinner waitress by various restaurants in the Rutherford, N.J. area until her retirement at age 65. Her community involvements included an active membership at the YMCA in Stroudsburg, Pa. engaging most of her time in water exercises, along with being a devoted member of Saint Patrick Roman Catholic Church of Belvidere N.J., spending much of her time volunteering at the church thrift shop where she brought home more than she took in! Natalie loved to shop and took much pleasure in finding all of the bargains. She also loved traveling internationally, visiting many different countries. Throughout her life, the sports she took most pleasure in and remained very active with were downhill skiing, and racquetball. Natalie loved to make friends and made friends easily wherever she went. She fully enjoyed her life and will be missed by everyone who knew her. Besides her parents, one brother, Clifford Keenan, predeceased her. Survivors include one son, Jim Schaap and his wife, MaryAnn, of Queensbury; one daughter, Cleora Bomstad, and her husband, Jerry, of Deerfield Beach, Fla.; two grandsons, Jeff Schaap and his wife, Diana, of Lewisville, N.C., and Donald Dimeri of Fort Lauderdale; one great-granddaughter, Lily Schaap of Lewisville, N.C., and soon another great-granddaughter, Amy Schaap, also of Lewisville, N.C.; one cousin, Marion Kern and her husband, Donald, of Toms River, N. J.; and also many dear friends. At Natalie's request, there will be no funeral service. Calling hours will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends are invited to join the family for a graveside service conducted at 2 p.m. Aug. 8, at Ramseysburg Cemetery, Delaware, N.J. with the Rev. Charles Sabella, associate pastor of Saint Patrick Roman Catholic Church of Belvidere, N.J., officiating. Stephenson, 75, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2005. He was born Aug. 12, 1929, in Worcester, Mass., to Henry and Olive (Smith) Stephenson. He married Janice P. Putnam on June 14, 1959, in Hudson Falls. Mr. Stephenson graduated from Williamstown High School in 1947, and from Williams College in 1951. During his career he worked for General Electric in Pittsfield and Hudson Falls; Tansitor in Bennington, Vt.; Sprague Electric in Concord, N.H.; Mallory Capacitor in Green Castle, Ind.; and Wilson Great Batch Consultant in Clarence, N.Y. Don served in the U.S. Army for two years at Fort Knox, Ky. and at Boston General Hospital. He had several patents involving capacitors, the latest of which was one for the implanted defibrillator for Wilson Great Batch. Don was Inventor of the Year for 1999 in Niagara Frontier. He was a World War II buff who enjoyed crosswords, trivia and time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Mr. Stephenson is survived by his wife of 46 years, Janice; his children, Scott and Jennie Stephenson of Colorado Springs, Doug and Paula Stephenson of Housatonic, Mass., and Bob Stephenson and his companion, Tim Boska, of Buffalo, N.Y.; six grandchildren; a sister, Gwen of Rockport, Mass.; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Peter Stephenson. Cremation is planned with a memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Mount Anthony Masonic Lodge No. 13, c/o Bruce Faller, 504 Main St., Bennington, VT or the American Cancer Society.
