Born Oct. 28, 1965, in Glens Falls, he was the son of Sibbie (Mosher) Burch of Athol and the late Donald K. Burch. Jim was a graduate of Warrensburg Central School. He worked in the retail business and had excellent marketing skills. He spent several years in Florida and Syracuse before returning to Athol. Jim enjoyed camping and time spent with his family and friends. Besides his father, his grandparents, Donald C. and Mary Hazel Burch, Paul and Rosetta Mosher, have all predeceased him. Jim leaves his mother, Sibbie Burch of Athol; his brother, Jeffrey Burch and his wife, Lori, and his nephews, Colby, Andrew and Cameron, all of Fort Edward; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends may call on Jim's family from 6 to 8 pm Thursday at Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg. Memorial services will follow the visitation at 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Rev. NORTH GRANVILLE -- Terrence P. Hamlin, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2005, at his home. He was born on Sept. 12, 1945, in Glens Falls, the son of the late Roy and Mary (Case) Hamlin Sr. Terry was a mason for more than 30 years. He belonged to the Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers Local No. 2 of New York. He enjoyed time spent with his three grandchildren, loved animals, gardening, the New York Yankees and the New York Giants. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Linda (Gokey) Hamlin; a daughter, Teresa Winch and her husband, John, of North Granville; his three grandchildren: Cori, Hali and Bailey Winch, all of North Granville; three brothers: Larry Hamlin of Hudson Falls, Roy Hamlin and his wife, Jackie, of Glens Falls, and Gary Hamlin and his wife, Barb, also of Glens Falls, his sister and special friend, Sharon Bouyea; two sisters-in-law, Liz Long of West Granville, and Emily and Bill Cobb of Hague. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, Aug. 16, at 11:30 a.m., at St. Mary's Church, 23 Bulkley Ave. Granville, with the Rev. Tom Zelker presiding. Harper, Claire Adele CAMBRIDGE -- Claire Adele Harper, 75, of Dot Hill Road, died peacefully, Saturday, Aug. 13, 2005, at the Centers for Living and Rehabilitation in Bennington, Vt. Born Friday, Sept. 6, 1929, in Albany, she was the daughter of William J. and Dorothy A. Keyes Hill. Claire grew up on the family farm on Hedges Lake and graduated from Cambridge Central School, Class of 1947. She attended secretarial school in Albany. She traveled the world for 12 years with her husband, who was serving in the United States Air Force. She moved back to New York state in 1964, and then moved to Pompano Beach, Fla. After five years in Florida, she moved to San Diego to be near her daughter. In 1990, she returned to her childhood home on Hedges Lake, where she lived until last spring when she went to the Cambridge Guest Home. Claire worked as an administrative assistant at AT&T for many years, retiring in 1990, in San Diego. She was a member of the Shushan Grange. Claire loved cats, her own and the many strays she fed at the lake. Always a fashionable dresser, she had a passion for shoes and clothes. She also enjoyed reading, crocheting and feeding the birds. Survivors include two children, Debbie Binns of Tampa, Fla., and Jeffery Harper and his wife, Becky, of Charlottesville, Va.; a sister, Lenora Horn of Minnesota; a brother, John Rodney Hill of Glens Falls and Hedges Lake; seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Friends and relatives are invited to call on Thursday, Aug. 18, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Ackley & Ross Funeral Home, 73 West Main St., Cambridge. GRANVILLE -- Harriet B. Roberts passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2005, at her home. Harriet was born on Feb. 2, 1924, in Granville, the daughter of Bill and Violet (Benway) Hicks. Harriet had been employed at both Nora Lee and Telescope Casual Furniture. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary. Harriet was predeceased by her husband, Alfred Roberts, two sisters, Mary Hurley and Margaret Pember, and a brother, John Hicks. Survivors include two sons, Alfred Roberts and his wife, Carol, and David Roberts and his wife, Chris, all of Granville; two sisters, Laura Edwards and Ethel Croff, both of Bennington, Vt.; a brother, Willis Hicks of West Pawlet, Vt.; a sister-in-law, Barbara Flack of Granville and a brother-in-law, Charles Roberts of Poultney. Harriet is also survived by four grandchildren: Alfred Ryan Roberts and his wife, Stacey, Robin Roberts, Carynn Roberts and her fiance, Andrew Martin, and Laura Roberts and her fiance, Aaron Torres; and several nieces and nephews. Stewart Jr., Anthony Charles BALLSTON SPA -- Anthony Charles Stewart Jr. of Galway Road, died Saturday, Aug. 13, 2005, at Saratoga Hospital. He was 73. Born on June 29, 1932, in Schenectady, he was a longtime area resident and operated a landscaping business for many years, later working as a maintenance engineer for the Horace D. Bradt Army Reserve Center in Schenectady. Since his retirement, he has worked for K & A Memorials, as well as Kellogg's Karpet and his son's business. He loved fishing, camping, gardening, the Boston Red Sox and especially spending time with his family and his beloved dog, Raymon. Anthony was predeceased by his mother, Magdelina (Olsen) Becker, and a daughter, Karen S. Noble, who died in 1994. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Margaret A. (Walrath) Stewart of Ballston Spa; his children: Deborah R. Braley of Ballston Spa, Nancy L. Crandall of Ballston Spa, Charles A. Stewart and his wife, Donna, of Middle Grove, Susan M. Kellogg and her husband, Phillip, of South Glens Falls and Brian D. Stewart of Ballston Spa; his twin brother, Kenneth Stewart of Dolgeville; four grandsons: Richard, Eric, Erin and John; his granddaughter, Kairyn; and three great-grandchildren. White, Catherine "Kate" ARGYLE -- Catherine "Kate" White, 90, formerly of Main Street, Argyle, and Roslyn Avenue, South Glens Falls, died Friday, Aug. 12, 2005, at Eden Park Health Care Center. Born on Sept. 13, 1914, in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur and Anna (Brennan) Covell. Mrs. White formerly worked at Lany's IGA from 1958 - 1972, the Argyle IGA from 1972 - 1980, and Pat Hoffis from 1980 to - 1986. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church in Fort Edward, a charter member of J.A. Barkley Hose Co. Auxiliary since it was organized in 1959, and the Argyle Senior Citizens. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Gertrude (Case) Russell. Survivors include her daughter, Mary Lou Hoffer of South Glens Falls; a half sister, Patricia Conway of Mooresville, N.C.; 10 grandchildren: Jeffrey Hoffer of Chestertown, Debra Mosher and her husband, Edward, of Woolwich, Maine (also her god children), Cathy Moses of Hinesburg, Vt., William Perkins of Glens Falls, Honey Bee Cenate and her husband, Ronald, of Fort Ann, Angel Spada and her husband, Alessandro, of Gansevoort, Scott, Robert III, Michael, and Derrick Perkins, all of South Glens Falls; 10 great- grandchildren; two great-great- grandchildren; a niece, Joan Russell and her husband, Daniel, of Clifton Park; and several other nieces, nephews and cousins.
