She was born in West Pawlet, Vt., on June 5, 1916, the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Plisko. Eva attended school in Pawlet, Vt. She worked at Sophie VonPomer's Ideal Shoppe in Fort Edward and at Fowlers Department Store in Glens Falls. She was a member of the South Glens Falls United Methodist Church. Eva was a devoted wife, and a loving aunt to all her nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Charles Chapman, in 2000, and two nieces, Elizabeth Chapman McNutt and Sheri LaSarso Miller. Survivors include 12 nieces, Pauline Bartlett, Mary Densmore, Ann Salengo and Alice Benoit, all of Rutland Vt.; Lorraine Kennedy of Saratoga Springs, Helene Rabine and her husband, Thomas, of Glens Falls, Pamela Hastings and her husband, John, of Queensbury, Patricia Poulin and her husband, Warren, of Winslow, Maine, Mary Carroll Cunningham of Fort Edward, Linda Arcuri and her husband, Thomas, of Hudson Falls, Susan Hoffnagle and her husband, William, of Lake Clear, Nedra Shaw and her husband, James, of Saratoga Springs; two nephews, John Chapman and his wife, Shirley, of Fort Edward, and Charles Chapman and his wife, Barbara, of Queensbury; and several nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews; a brother-in-law, Thomas and his wife, Ruth Chapman, of South Glens Falls, and their son, Stephen Chapman of South Glens Falls. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 23, at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 136 Main St., South Glens Falls. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kelly Warner, pastor of the South Glens Falls United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Southside Cemetery, town of Moreau. The family suggests that donation be made in Eva's memory to Charles R. Greene, Belle Nevins (Norton) Fort Edward -- Belle (Norton) Nevins Greene, 93, formerly of East River Road, died Sunday, Aug. 21, 2005, at Glens Falls Hospital. Born in Shoreham, Vt., on Dec. 20, 1911, she was the daughter of Joseph and Nellie (Archer) Norton. Belle graduated from Bolton Landing School and after her marriage to John Nevins, moved to Fort Edward. She formerly worked for a glove factory in Schuylerville and retired from the Argyle Infirmary. She loved riding horses, her cats, reading, watching TV, and going for rides in her car. Belle was predeceased by her first husband, John Nevins, and her second husband, Herbert A. Greene; her daughters, Gertrude Grover and Janice Rivers; and her grandson, John Germain. Survivors include her daughter, Rose M. Rouse and her husband, Carl, of Fort Ann; seven grandchildren, Bonnie Nolette of Glens Falls, Linda Garnsey of Hudson Falls, Richard Rouse of Queensbury, Daniel Rouse of Hudson Falls, Timothy Rouse of Kingsbury, Sharon Logan of Lugoff, S.C., and Michelle Brown of Virginia; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. "Della" Glens Falls -- Edella "Della" C. Jenkins, 46, went to the house of the Lord on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2005, at Glens Falls Hospital, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on March 15, 1959, in Glens Falls, a daughter of Edward and Alberta (Washburn) Mosher. Della was raised in Bakers Mills, where she had attended Johnsburg Central School. In 1975, she moved to Texas and with her husband and children, worked as a waitress in the family's restaurant. She later moved to Florida and returned to the North Country, settling in Glens Falls in 2000. She began attending Adirondack Community College working on a degree in social work, striving for a career in alcohol and drug counseling. Della had a passion for people. Trying to help people work through difficult times and situations was her drive for life. She had also made several friends throughout the years and will always be remembered for her caring and compassion for other people. She was predeceased by her mother, Alberta Washburn Mosher and one brother, Gary Ross Jr. Della is survived by two children, Kenneth Jenkins Jr. and Monica Jenkins, both of Glens Falls; her father, Edward Mosher and his wife, Jennie, of Crown Point; several brother and sisters: Audrey Wendell and her husband, Ryne, of Queensbury, Sonna Akers and her husband, Michael, of Georgia, Brenda Albert of Florida, Sandra Ross of South Glens Falls, Charles Ross of Hudson Falls, Norman Jennings and her husband, Jay, of Queensbury, Robert Swinton of South Glens Falls, Leonard Bradway Jr. and his companion, Beth, of Clifton Park, Delbert Bradway and his wife, Laurie, of Queensbury, Ronald Bradway and his companion, Tammy, of Hudson Falls and Donald Bradway and his wife, Cheryl, of Queensbury; the father of her children and love of her life, Kenneth Jenkins Sr.; special friends that cared for her at home, Patricia Catalfano of Fort Edward and Michael Bills; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Larmon, 87, of 364 West Maple St., passed away Friday, Aug. 19, 2005, at Saratoga Hospital following a brief illness. Born on Feb. 21, 1918, in Washington County, he was the son of the late Franklin and Augusta (Trumbull) Larmon. Mr. Larmon joined the United States Army on April 1, 1939, serving during World War II as a Sergeant and MP in the Pacific Theater. He received the World War II Victory Medal, the Asiatic Pacific Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He married Mary "May" Larmon on Sept. 20, 1942, in Brooklyn. The couple resided in the New York City area for more than 15 years before moving to Porter Corners. She died Jan. 23, 1996, following 53 years of marriage. Mr. Larmon was employed at Hazeltine Electronics in Greenlawn, Long Island, N.Y., for many years until his retirement in 1981. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, woodworking and spending time outdoors. Besides his wife and his parents, he was also predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Survivors include one son, William M. Larmon and his wife, Dorothy, of Lake Luzerne; one daughter, the Rev. Mary Reilly and her husband, Walter, of Clifton Park; two sisters, Hannah Larmon and Lucy Ellis; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2005, at the Densmore Funeral Home, Inc., 7 Sherman Ave., Corinth, with the Rev. Mary Reilly, pastor of the River of Life Worship Center of Glens Falls, officiating. Burial will be at Corinth Rural Cemetery with military honors provided by the Horace D. LeBarron Jr., George Dean BUSKIRK, N.Y. -- George Dean LeBarron Jr., 69, died Saturday, Aug. 20, 2005, at the Samuel Stratton Veterans Administration Medical Center in Albany, N.Y. He resided in Buskirk with his wife, Joan (Stearns) LeBarron, whom he married on Jan. 21, 1961. George was born on Sept. 5, 1935, on the family farm in West Hoosick, N.Y. He was the son of the late George Dean Sr. and Dorothy (Brown) LeBarron. George graduated from Hoosick Falls High School in 1953. He then entered the United States Army, serving with the 187th Airborne as a Paratrooper from 1953 to 1955. While jumping, he had a parachute failure and landed in Beppu, Japan. He was a member of the American Legion in Cambridge, for 51 years. George and his wife, Joan, and their family owned and operated the Strawberry Acres in Buskirk for 34 years. He was a supporter of and very active with the Buskirk Fire Department for many years. Survivors other than his wife, Joan, include a daughter, Debra Harrington and her husband, Donald, of Cambridge; a son, Dean LeBarron and his wife, Katherine, of Eagle Bridge, N.Y.; two sisters, Elsie Marpe of Buskirk and Mabel Schillaci and her husband, Anthony, of Rensselaer, N.Y. also survived by eight grandchildren. Services will be held on Tuesday at 6 p.m. from Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main St., Hoosick Falls, N.Y. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday. Potvin, 103, of Orton Drive, Warrensburg, and most recently of Eden Park Health Care Center, Glens Falls, passed away Saturday, Aug. 20, 2005, following a long illness. Whittemore Sr., Clinton A. Saratoga Springs -- Clinton A. Whittemore Sr., a wonderful husband, father, brother and friend, has gone home to the Lord. Clinton A. Whittemore, Sr., 86, died Thursday, Aug. 18, 2005, at Saratoga Hospital after a short illness. Born Feb. 9, 1919, in Glens Falls, to Walter and Mary Briggs Whittemore, he was one of five children. Mr. Whittemore served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army 67th Ordinance Company in the Pacific Theater. He retired from the New York State Thruway Authority in 1978 as Senior Maintenance Specialist. A civic-minded man with a servant's heart, he served as a member of the Warrensburg Fire Company, Past President/Director of the East Chatham Fire Company, Deacon of the First Reformed Church in Chatham, member of Chatham Rescue Squad, EMT member of the Saratoga and Wilton rescue squads, and member of the Brookhaven Country Club. He was an avid golfer and family man. Survivors include his beloved wife of 60 years, Mary Scripter Whittemore; two sons, Kenneth (Elizabeth) and Clinton Jr. (Kate); three grandchildren, Dr. Kenneth Jr. (Stephanie) and Debra (Tony) Calderon, and Bridget (Fred) Engelhardt; six great-grandchildren, Cory, Carter, Avery and Jason Whittemore; Savannah and Sabrina Calderon. He is also survived by his brother, Raymond (Jean) Whittemore of Queensbury; and many nieces and nephews. One brother and two sisters, Dewey, Grace Kenny and Virginia Tougas, predeceased Mr. Whittemore. There will be no calling hours. Mr. Whittemore chose to donate his body to the Albany Medical College to support future medical doctors, such as his grandson, of whom he was so proud. There will be a memorial service on Saturday, Sept. 17, at 11 a.m., at the First Reformed Church, Kinderhook Street, Chatham, N.Y. Interment will be at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville. Those wishing to remember Mr. Whittemore may make a memorial contribution in his memory to the Chatham Lions Club Foundation, P.O.
