QUEENSBURY/ WHITEHALL -- Mabel C. Ashline, 78, of Fair Wood Drive, Queensbury, and formerly of Whitehall, passed away Monday, Aug. 22, 2005, at Fort Hudson Residential Health Care, Inc. in Fort Edward surrounded by her family. Born on Sept. 21, 1926, in Whitehall, she was the daughter of the late Henry B. and Elizabeth (Albee) Chase. In 1945, she married Felix J. Ashline Jr. He passed away in 1987, after 42 years of marriage. For several years, she was employed as the secretary/bookkeeper at the Montcalm Restaurant. She was an active member in the Home Bureau and also taught sewing in her younger years. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Jane McCrea Chapter. Mrs. Ashline is survived by a daughter, Susan Earl and her husband, Jack, of Pilot Knob; a son, Peter Ashline and his wife, Linda of Saratoga Springs; two brothers, Henry F. Chase and Frederic L. Chase; and several grandchildren; great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. At her request, there will be no calling hours. Private funeral services will be held at the family's convenience. Interment will follow at Greenmount Cemetery in Whitehall, with Father Marc Rogers officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the charity of one's choice. The family would like to express their appreciation for the excellent, professional and loving care Mabel received during her illness from the staff at Glens Falls Hospital and the Fort Hudson Nursing Home. Dalton III, Joseph SARATOGA SPRINGS -- Joseph Dalton, III, 40, died unexpectedly on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2005, in Elmira. Joe attended St. Clements School and Saratoga Central Catholic High School, before graduating from Assumption College in Worcester, Mass. At the time of his death, he was a valued member of Matthews Buses, Inc. where he held an executive sales position. Growing up in Saratoga Springs, Joe took full advantage of his beautiful surroundings. He was an accomplished skier and mountain biker. He lived each day with exuberance and an incredibly positive attitude. Joe was a devoted husband to Annamaria (Misurelli) Dalton, and a loving and dedicated father to Daniel, age 6, and Joanna, age 3; and precious son of Joe and Gloria Dalton of Saratoga Springs. Joe is also survived by his brother, Matthew Dalton of New York City; his sister Caragh (Dalton) Fahy and her husband, Jason, of Liverpool; Annamaria's parents, Maria and Vincent Misurelli of Saratoga Springs; her brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Christie Misurelli of Nantucket, Mass.; her sister, Patricia Misurelli of Albany; and several aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins and many friends. Those who were fortunate to have known him will forever be positively impacted. Joe never met a stranger, he treated one and all with dignity, respect, kindness and generosity. Fehl, Allyn Vincent GLENS FALLS -- Allyn Vincent Fehl, 82, of Arbor Drive, passed away peacefully Sunday, Aug. 21, 2005, with her family by her side, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on Sept. 15, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence F. and Edith (King) Soutter. She maintained the family flower and vegetable farms in both East Longmedow, Mass. and Glens Falls. Her interest in pottery led her to establish three different American handcraft shops, in Siesta Key, Fla., Saint Armond's Key, Fla. and Lake George. She made many wonderful friendships in the craft trade and in her other endeavors. Allyn is survived by a son, James L. Fehl and his wife, Judith (Lee), of Salem, N.Y.; two grandsons, Jeffrey L. Fehl and his significant other, Renee Lochner, and their son, Keegan, of Hudson Falls, and Justin D. Fehl and his fiancee, Angela Bardin, of Fort Edward. There will be no calling hours at Allyn's request. A memorial gathering of the immediate family and close friends will be held at the Fehl residence in Salem in the near future. Hamell, Jacqueline (LeGault) ARGYLE and GLENS FALLS -- Jacqueline (LeGault) Hamell, 85, of Argyle, and formerly of South Street in Glens Falls, passed away Sunday, Aug. 21, 2005, at her home, following a long illness. Born on Sept. 27, 1919, in Montreal, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Leonie (Lemery) LeGault. On March 1, 1943, Jackie married Robert Hamell at St. Alphonsus Church in Glens Falls. Jackie enjoyed knitting, quilting and baking cookies, but her biggest joy was being with her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, three brothers, Jacques LeGault, Daniel LeGault and John LeGault, two sisters, and Georgette Whiting and Mary Jane Jablonski, also died before her. Jackie is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert P. Hamell of Argyle; her daughters: Karen L. Gray of South Glens Falls, Sharon A. Jenkins, Edella C. "Della" GLENS FALLS -- Edella "Della" C. Jenkins, 46, went to the house of the Lord on Saturday, Aug.t 20, 2005, at Glens Falls Hospital, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on March 15, 1959, in Glens Falls, a daughter of Edward and Alberta (Washburn) Mosher. Della was raised in Bakers Mills, where she had attended Johnsburg Central School. In 1975, she moved to Texas and met her husband and had her children, worked as a waitress in the family's restaurant. She returned to the North Country, settling in Glens Falls in 2000. She began attending Adirondack Community College working on a degree in social work, striving for a career in alcohol and drug counseling. Della had a passion for people. Trying to help people work through difficult times and situations was her drive for life. She had also made several friends throughout the years and will always be remembered for her caring and compassion for other people. She was predeceased by her mother, Alberta Washburn Mosher and one brother, Gary Ross Jr. Della is survived by two children, Kenneth Jenkins Jr. and Monica Jenkins, both of Glens Falls; her father, Edward Mosher and his wife, Jennie, of Crown Point; several brothers and sisters: Audrey Wendell and her husband, Ryne, of Queensbury, Donna Akers and her husband, Michael, of Georgia, Brenda Albert of Florida, Sandra Ross of South Glens Falls, Charles Ross of Hudson Falls, Norma Jennings and her husband, Jay, of Queensbury, Robert Swinton of South Glens Falls, Leonard Bradway Jr. and his companion, Beth, of Clifton Park, Delbert Bradway and his wife, Laurie, of Queensbury, Ronald Bradway and his companion, Tammy, of Hudson Falls, and Donald Bradway and his wife, Cheryl, of Queensbury; the father of her children and the man she loved, Kenneth Jenkins Sr.; special friends that cared for her at home, Patricia Catalfano of Fort Edward and Michael Bills; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Lynch, Barbara Anne CLIFTON PARK -- Barbara Anne Lynch, 34, of Clifton Park, and formerly of South Glens Falls, passed away Saturday, Aug. 20, 2005, as a result of an automobile accident. Born Oct. 1, 1970, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of Robert and Cathy (Rockefeller) Lynch of South Glens Falls. Barbara graduated from South Glens Falls High School, Class of 1988. She furthered her education by graduating Magna Cum Laude from Russell Sage College, then continued by receiving her master's degree at Albany Medical College. She was employed as a nurse anesthesis with the Anesthesia Group of Albany at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. She enjoyed camping, jogging, exercising, horse back riding, and animals, but above all, her two daughters were the love of her life, who will greatly miss her. Her paternal grandparents, John and Muriel Lynch, and her maternal grandfather, John D. Rockefeller, all predeceased her. Besides her parents, Robert and Cathy Lynch of South Glens Falls, survivors include two daughters, 12 year old, Tori Hayes, and 10 year old, Brianna Hayes, both of Clifton Park; one sister, Michele Lynch and her husband, Edward Coffee, of Granby, Conn.; one brother, Robert V. Lynch II and his wife, Virginia, of Glens Falls; maternal grandmother, Barbara Rockefeller of Queensbury; two nieces, Heather Ong and her husband, Curtis, of California, and Alexandria Lynch-Coffee of Granby, Conn.; three nephews: Adriel Wood of Granby, Conn., Shea Lynch of Glens Falls, and Nicholas Lynch Coffee of Granby, Conn.; two cats, Simba and Pai; one horse, Goldy; two dogs, Snickers and Shaquira; and also many dear friends. Potvin, 103, formerly of Orton Drive, Warrensburg, and most recently of Eden Park Health Care Center, Glens Falls, passed away Saturday evening, Aug. 20, 2005. Born June 7, 1902, in Woodside, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Davenport and Julia (Dallier) Lincoln. Following graduation from Washington, D. C. High School, Class of 1920, she furthered her education at Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School in Washington D.C, graduating with a two-year degree. Edna worked as a young secretary with the Federal Forestry Division in Washington, D.C. Edna and Henry Louis Potvin were joined in marriage on Dec. 3, 1924, in Woodside, N.Y. They resided in Hudson Falls for 10 years until they made a new home in Warrensburg. After her husband passed away in 1952, she took over his business, the National Tool and Steel Co., retiring in 1977. For many years Edna was a member of the St. Cecelia's Catholic Church in Warrensburg. Mrs. Potvin was well known in the Glens Falls area for the immaculate turquoise and black 1962 Oldsmobile Starfire, which she drove until the age of 90. Survivors include one daughter, Betty Ann Jezewski and her husband, Chester, of Spring Hill, Fla.; three grandchildren, Anne Wesh and her husband, John, of Oak Ridge, Tenn., Mark Jezewski and his wife, Laurie, of Roseland, N.J., and Julia Knox and her husband, Raymond, of Greenwich, Conn. She is also survived by her seven great grandchildren: Chris Jezewski, Matthew Wesh, Peter Wesh, Margaux Knox, Samantha Knox, Kyle Jezewksi and Kelsey Jezewski.
