Born May 28, 1921, in Philadelphia, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Jeffery and Catherine (Hymes) Bahoot. She was raised in Asbury Park, N.J., and had been a South Glens Falls resident since 1954. On Dec. 24, 1944, she married Frederick Abess at Holy Spirit Church in Asbury Park, N.J. They spent 58 loving years together until his death on Feb. 11, 2003. Mrs. Abess was an active member of St. Michael the Archangel Church, having been in the choir, Rosary Altar Society and having served as a eucharist minister. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. She enjoyed playing bridge, and in her younger years playing golf. Her greatest joy was her children and their many accomplishments. Mrs. Abess is survived by four sons: Dr. John Abess and his wife, Ann, of Charleston, S.C., Gregory Abess and his partner, Susan Laslo, of Albuquerque, N.M., Paul Abess and his wife, Lorraine, of Queensbury, and Dr. Gerard Abess and his wife, Cindy, of Glens Falls; seven grandchildren: John T. Abess, Dr. Alexander Abess and his wife, Maude, Jesse, Jaryd and Joshua Abess, and Connor and Evan Abess; one brother, Al Bahoot of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; one sister, Vicki Groves of Fredericksburg, Va.; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 26, at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 80 Saratoga Ave., South Glens Falls, with the Rev. Robert Nugent officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, at Singleton-Healy Funeral Home, 407 Bay Road, Queensbury. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of Glens Falls Hospital and Saratoga Hospice. Hilder, 82, a resident of Albany County Nursing Home, and formerly of Whitehall, passed away Monday, Aug. 22, 2005, at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. Born on Dec. 26, 1922, in Dresden, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Delia (Wilbur) Gilmore. Mary was predeceased by her husband, George F. Hilder; her daughter, Rose Deming and her son-in-law, William Loftus. She is survived by her three daughters: Mary Lee Loftus of Albany, Linda Boodrow and her husband, Robert, of Cohoes, and Katherine Rodriguez and her husband, William, of Albany; one son, Edward Hilder of Albany; son-in-law, Robert Deming; one stepdaughter, Mildred Deming of Albany; one brother, James Gilmore of Nassau; one sister, Dianne Gilmore of Schodack; 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, at Jillson Funeral Home, Inc., 46 Williams St., Whitehall. Lynch, Barbara Anne CLIFTON PARK -- Barbara Anne Lynch, 34, of Clifton Park, and formerly of South Glens Falls, passed away Saturday, Aug. 20, 2005, as a result of an automobile accident. Born Oct. 1, 1970, in Glens Falls, she was the beloved daughter of Robert and Cathy (Rockefeller) Lynch of South Glens Falls. Barbara graduated from South Glens Falls High School, Class of 1988. She furthered her education by graduating Magna Cum Laude from Russell Sage College, then continued by receiving her master's degree at Albany Medical College. She was employed as a nurse anesthetist with the Anesthesia Group of Albany at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. She enjoyed camping, jogging, exercising, horseback riding, and animals, but above all, her two daughters who were the love of her life, and who will greatly miss her. Her paternal grandparents, John and Muriel Lynch, and her maternal grandfather, John D. Rockefeller, all predeceased her. Besides her parents, Robert and Cathy Lynch of South Glens Falls, survivors include two daughters, 12-year-old Tori Hayes and 10-year-old, Brianna Hayes, both of Clifton Park; one sister, Michele Lynch and her husband, Edward Coffey, of Granby, Conn.; one brother, Robert V. Lynch II and his wife, Virginia, of Glens Falls; maternal grandmother, Barbara Rockefeller of Queensbury; two nieces, Heather Ong and her husband, Curtis, of California, and Alexandria Lynch-Coffey of Granby, Conn.; three nephews: Adriel Wood of Granby, Conn., Shea Lynch of Glens Falls and Nicholas Lynch Coffey of Granby, Conn.; two cats, Simba and Pai; one horse, Goldy; two dogs, Snickers and Shaquira; aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends. Friends may call upon the family from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, at Maynard D. Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Scott Harding, pastor of Church of The Messiah Episcopal, officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Pine View Cemetery, Quaker Road, Queensbury.
